Anybody else having a very hard time with the 9/11 anniversary today?

So, we've gone through 24 of these, and I have my plane ticket from my insane flight that day framed on my desk, and I always remember 9/11. However, I don't remember any of these days having the effect that today is having on me for some reason.
I honestly think its so hard today because so many suffered so greatly, and the world has changed to the point that a Muslim with ties to Hasan Piker is running New York now, and laughing with AOC during 9/11 ceremonies, and they are trying to take over so many positions of authority across the Nation. Stupid people are electing them and letting them not assimilate and take over, blaring call to prayer and trying to institute Sharia law... I just can't believe that our country has changed in 25 years to the point that everybody has forgotten what happened, and they're letting these savages take over NY, Texas, Michigan....it's just the beginning.
I don't care who that offends, because it is truth. Today is the worst of all the anniversaries. It's all just so unbelievable and so sad.

Forgotten? They’re straight up making shite up at this point. Relentless conspiracy theories that make no sense and have no basis in fact.
Otherwise reasonable people like Tucker Carlson have now jumped on the conspiracy bandwagon, because 9/11, to them, is just an *event* on which they can project their own ideologies on. It pisses me off to no end

The current political class disgusts me. I saw several editorials today from major publications full of execrable pablum that Bin Laden somehow "triumphed" on 9/11 because it led to the demise of American democracy. What a joke. Living on the run while watching your whole clan be eradicated from the face of the earth, then being slaughtered like a cowering animal in the dark along with your family by a Seal team is not victory.
Anti-American self-loathers.
America may have flaws, but it is still the greatest country on the planet.

Yes, this anniversary has been difficult emotionally. Anger, anxiety and frustration. I feel like I felt 25 years ago. It's visceral.

Mental illness is running rampant in today’s youth, white women are totally batshit crazy and voting on feelings and Facebook likes, universities are indoctrination camps that are paying dividends to our enemies who played the long game by corrupting said universities for years. Then the power of promises of free shite to the dregs of society. All combined will vote this country into a shite hole.

This should concern every American. I am still amazed this is happening so soon after 9/11.

Osama worked for our government. It gave them more power through the patriot act, so bin laden and our government triumphed over the us citizens on that day.

I agree. We need to go back to war in Afghanistan again.

Well he got what he wanted, to mire us in a middle east war that would weaken and ultimately collapse us. The collapse hasn't happened and hopefully won't. But the last 25 years have been feckless at best wrt our Middle East policy.
A lot of LSU Greeks organizations have Never Forget messages on their social media pages today. Seems a trifle performative considering none of those kids were alive yet. Maybe I'm just yelling at clouds.

I have hard time every year. Especially the ceaseless apologies and coddling of Muslims

i hear you. i'm finding it difficult today as well. i find myself glued to the images and videos today like i was 25 years ago. i think a lot of it is frustration over how 3000 people died we fought 2 wars more people died and not a damn thing has changed. except we're a less free, more divided country.

Yeah, yesterday I was looking at some photos of people hanging out of the window of the towers. One lady was holding her baby. The fear in their eyes were hard on me. I thought about it way too much yesterday.

I’m disgusted with NYC. I don’t care what happens to them now. Unfortunately it will just filter out into other states. Already is. Our gov is allowing these people to infiltrate our gov offices and leadership positions.

Was in Oxford today and all Ole Miss frat houses that we drove by had tons of American flags flying as well as all around the lawns and throughout the landscaping. Not a one of those kids were born.
My daughter was 6 months old. She was in my arms when we saw it breaking on NBC.

It’s certainly hit me harder this year than previous ones.
Some of the footage popping up on the socials have reanimated all of those emotions. It was such a shock.
I don’t think anything could happen nowadays that would hit me like that again. We’re too desensitized.

Im starting to think that 9/11 was just phase 1 of a larger plan. I think right now what we are seeing with this invasion of Islam is phase 2. These types think in long terms. 9/11 just opened the door and now we are being overwhelmed. Phase 3 is them being put into positions of influence and power. Starting to see that happening. Phase 4 is implementing their laws and beliefs into every day life. Last phase is total takeover. We need to wake the frick up.

I watch the videos and news reports and it saddens me for all that were lost and then think what is going on today in this country and I get pissed off.

Just reading this is hard. It should be mandatory anual viewing for adults though.
