I’ve rented two rams and don’t like them. I normally drive an F-350. Ram feels like a car with a truck bed. maybe all 1/2 ton trucks are like that, but I was throwed off by the round dial shifter and it was only downhill from there.
So if I drove a dump truck for a living and called your F350 feeling like a car with a truck bed, is that a bad thing?
Most piece would prefer a vehicle to drive like a sedan on the pavement I would expect.

Love my '19. Like others have said though, I can't comment on longevity.

Beautiful truck there. Nice interior and I love the ipad sized LCD display.
Did it come with the all-weather floor mats?
I'm just afraid of Chrysler products.
Maybe their trucks are better than their cars.

'14 Ram 1500 (Hemi) now with 85K on the clock. Before that was '10 Ram 3500 with 400K when I traded her in (biggest mistake of my life, really miss the Cummins).
Nothing but general maintenance needed for the 3500 and no issues at all with the 1500 so far.

mean, what do you want the guy to say? He’s a Ram owner sharing his experience. That’s what the OP is asking for.
I ain’t calling the old boy out, just messing with him.

I have a 19 limited. Nicest truck I have had. Ride is comfortable, tows well and gets good mileage for the power.

I thought the Hemis were good engines
They are. Those guys are exaggerating. It’s like with any manufacturer, if someone knows one person that’s had an issue then the whole brand is garbage and should be avoided.
The hemi has been around, even with the VVS, for over a decade. It’s fine.

Have a 19 Limited and love the interior, ride and look. Have had a couple of minor issues but overall a great truck. Was a long time Ford owner but when I was looking to get rid of my 09 last year not much had changed for Ford in the last 10 years. 2021's look to have made some upgrades, but we'll see when they hit the lots

19 ecodiesel Laramie here
Love it. Got about 40k in it, no issues.
Love the ram boxes. Got a cover for the bed. the tailgate and ram boxes lock with the truck so it’s not a big deal to leave stuff in it.
There’s two nice little boxes under the floor bed in the back seat that you can use as an ice chest or for more storage too.
Easily the nicest interior of all the 1/2 trucks.

I have a 19 Limited. At the time of purchase, it was (and still is) the best looking and has the most luxurious interior of any brand of truck.
A few quirks.
Mirrors when backing up tilt down. Fine, but they tilt too far down almost rendering this feature useless. Also, the mirrors after putting truck back in drive will stay stuck in the tilted mode. Easily fixed once you come to red light - just have to hit the memory recall button and they go back into position. This is still an ongoing issue.
Past issues that have been fixed.
Bluetooth and SiriusXM would occasionally play at same time, for instance, if I had Apple Music last playing on my phone and then enter truck and SiriusXM was playing, the Bluetooth connection would play on top of the SiriusXM transmission. A software update appears to have corrected this.
Had a slight issue with backup camera not showing view a couple of times. Software update took care of that.
As expected, with the technology, there are/were a few bugs to work out. These may have been resolved already in the ‘20 model editions.
Mechanically speaking, the truck has been great, no issues whatsoever.

I had my dealer throw them in for me. I have the OEM rubber mat in the back seat and two WeatherTech mats for the front.

Without researching externally myself, what are the changes compared to 19/20 models?

Bought one yesterday. Hoping for reliability and a long life from this truck.
The bigger the decal, the better.
OP: Buy a RAM, they’re just as good as any other full sized truck on the market.

I've got a 20 Laramie. Only about 2500 miles so I can speak to reliability much, but I absolutely love it so far. Interior is top notch. I have the 12" screen and the Night Edition package, back seat leg room in the crew cab is enormous. Exterior is a really big bold clean look. Neighbor has the Ram boxes and after looking at his I opted against it. The bed size is drastically reduced. As far as the split tailgate, I wasn't sure if that was really for me. Didn't really seem practical for my use.

The interior of that truck is very nice, but I’ve always found the exterior of the newer Rams to look like some sort of generic pick up in a video game that can’t use officially licensed products
Just aren’t aesthetically pleasing to me

I have a 2020 laramie sport package. 9k miles with the split tailgate. Came with the all weather mats. Absolutely love the truck.
I thought the split tailgate was gimmicky but it's actually really handy. I don't really ever open the tailgate traditionally, really helps my wife getting stuff out the back.

My company truck is a Ram Laramie 2500 gas burner.
Nice truck. Rides rough as hell but I think a 1500 would ride better. Have had wiring harness issues. Replaced fuse box 3 times in it due to connections melting and truck wouldn’t crank

I’ll put my avatar on the back glass if you pay per mile. Deal?

Details from a 2020 Ram Rebel owner
What I like:
5.7 Hemi has lots of power, especially with the 3.92 rear end and 8 speed. My 19 Laramie had 3.21's and there is a noticeable feel in the difference of the power delivery.
The engine/transmission setup is proven and established. Very smooth.
Coil spring rear end gives a NICE ride. One day soon leaf springs will be a thing of the past in light duty trucks, just like front leaf springs went away.
Huge brake rotors. I had a 16 F150 and the brakes were terrible. This truck stops on a dime. 18" wheels are the smallest you can go because of the size of the rotors.
Fit and finish of the interior. Quiet cabin, all the materials have a soft touch to them. Loads of storage in the center console. Also a pet peeve of mine is cupholders that are not side by side. My F150 were front to back and believe it or not you could lose track of which drink is yours if they look the same. Nitpicking, but I don't like reaching to the right side of the console to grab my drink.
Rotary shifter- Yea I thought it was kooky at first. But it works really well. It's low so you are not reaching up like a column shifter, but it doesn't take up valuable storage space like a console shifter.
Ram boxes, split tailgate - I don't have either of these, but these are cool options if you choose. I think the tailgate is way more functional than that silly GM abomination of a tailgate.
Rebel specific package - Beefier transfer case (it's why you don't get 4Auto in a Rebel) Steel bumpers no vinyl facia, high clearance bumpers without the air dams that normally hang so low. 1" higher ride height from the springs, not a spacer. Bilstein off road suspension which is fricking money.
Versatility - My truck on the inside is luxurious. Has that high dollar look and feel, it's comfortable, quiet, and roomy. I spend some time in the National Forest and this truck has the ground clearance, skid plates, bumpers, torque etc. that I want/need to go places I want to go. It can also tow 11,280lbs. By comparison my 19 Laramie with 3.21's was rated around 8800 lbs.
Ford has an electronic rear locker, Ram has an electronic rear locker, GM has the G80 auto locker. Basically you can't engage the locker. The tires have to spin and then they will lock. It works well, but I would rather have the option of pushing a button.
What I don't like or wish was better - The gas mileage isn't as good as my 5.0 was, or not even my 14 5.3 Chevy. There isn't a cool way to get into the bed, like GM's integrated bumper steps or Ford's pullout step. There is no turbo gas option. I'm a V8 guy, but there are a lot of boosted fans out there who simply want a twin turbo V6. My 19 Laramie had discolored facia. It was noticeable after about 6 months of ownership. I wish the hood scoops on the sport hood were functional. I don't like how visible the pinch seam is below the doors on light colored trucks. With steps or on darker trucks it is not really noticeable, but it looks unfinished to me. My Rebel has black at the bottom so I don't even see it.
Ok my first post got downvotes, but if someone is truly looking and not trolling I hope this helps you some. It used to be uncool to drive a Ram, well this isn't 1992 anymore. Do yourself a favor, go spend some time in one. Most people that bash ram, especially the reliability, haven't set foot in one in years. My dad has had Rams for 20 years now and not one major issue ever. That's all I got.

Sold my Ram Ecodiesel and regret it every day. Loved it. Put 65,000 miles on it. No problems.
