You don’t need a phone retard. You would know this if you actually ran.

What does this even mean? Everyone that runs uses strava or whatever you called it?

I’m older and run a lot for my age. Never heard of a strava. It looks like a good app, but I guess I’m old school.

Never intended to, but seeing that is is something you and Mingo support, I hope it gets permanently ended.

I too used to run a lot. Never heard of strava though.
Not sure why the fella thinks one must have it if they’re a runner.

Call it a half and calling it running 13 miles seems to carry different contexts…One says half marathon and they’re immediately a loser, bored housewife, or under achiever. One says they casually ran13 miles that morning and it seems like a much bigger feat. I’ve done some fulls, but a half is definitely a benchmark or accomplishment.
You can tell someone you’re running a 10k and nobody says anytime. Say you ran a ‘half marathon’ and the 44 big gulp crowd comes out and tries to act like you did absolutely nothing.

Best sign I observed: “On a scale of 1-10, you’re a 13.1”.
Run more, post less, svp.

We live in a society where 40% of the people get winded walking to their car.

I’ve never run more than about 3 miles although heard from someone I play basketball with that we usually cover 5 miles when we play 1.5 hours.
I’ve held 16 mph for 15 seconds on treadmill so that feels like my version of an accomplishment.

You hope running gets banned because two internet posters support it?
What?

Half court, no way. Full court, maybe but still unlikely.
That being said, the hardest parts of something like a half marathons is the training If any was done) and the mental aspect of the training and racing.
The less training that was done the harder race day normally is so it takes a greater mental fortitude which for some is easier than the physical training.
The more physical training was done can either lead to an easier race day experience OR the ability to push harder and finish faster.
it's not just the 13.1 (or 26.2 or 50k or 100 mile) distance that just represents the accomplishment of a half marathon. Yes, alot of people could stand on the starting line and complete it with ZERO training but they don't. They don't because they don't have the desire or the mental capabilities to do something comfortable for an uncomfortable amount of time. Some prefer things are are more uncomfortable for a very comfortable amount of time. Their capacity to do hard things is limited to short time segments (HIIT, lifting, etc) because they lack endurance mentally and physically) and those who prefer endurance lack strength and explosion or the mental desire to do something REALLY hard for just a couple of seconds.
The the body and minds will to accept and endure discomfort. How much and for how long. There is a reason less than 5% of the US population has ever done a half marathon and its not just because they don't want to.

I mean sure, if you treat it like some lifelong achievement to get across the finish line
If you go balls to the wall for a PR then they’re actually fun as hell and don’t leave you feeling like you damaged your body
I’ve run 3 marathons too fwiw. Love the marathon but halfs are a great distance

I guess I was only an 11 but I did the mom and grandmother at the same time. Huston chicks are OK, but I am still attracted to county women.
