We keep Jesus out of Christmas at my house. He has nothing to do with it. I can only keep one fabrication going at a time.

Why not let your kids imaginations run wild? They are kids after all. Why force your pessimism about Christmas on your kids?
Will it harm your kids to not do Santa? No. But you are taking away a special memory to your kids. I still think back to when i was a kid, and wondering how Santa did it. That was fun. And i'll do the same with my kids.

Christmas is originally a pagan holiday anyway and arbitrarily selected later in history by Christians to celebrate the birth of Jesus.
It's a fun thing for kids. People suck so much. Congrats on having weird kids. It's not hard to do Santa and church.
Growing up my mom always made a much bigger deal out of Easter Mass anyway. It's far more important.

After you learn there's no such thing as Santa Claus, Christmas is never the same.
And don't give me that "take away from Jesus" crap. If you go to church on Sunday and go to parochial school like we did, you already know since before first Communion what Christmas is about.

I have no problem with Christians, except they can be a little much sometimes. I love the Cafeteria Catholics, not as judgey as the Baptists and they have more fun.

My brother-in laws family doesn't celebrate Santa or Christmas, non-Jewish also.

Where in your life are you berated by Christians? And who are these Christians berating you?
Here's the problem with the Christian bashers. You don't really have any real world experience of the reasons you say you hate Christians. You come here and say, "i don't like people forcing their beliefs on me and judging me" yet you are more than fine to call any Christian an idiot for "believing in fairy tales". Yet what is your experience? In real life, you have literally zero experience from this other than maybe your parents or the idiots parading around in front of the Union or on Bourbon Street.
So your whole preconceived notions of Christians as judgemental are based on your parents and idiots yelling in the street with signs hanging from them. Therefore, there is not credible complaints. At least for the majority of Christian bashers.
Majority of Christians, which 1/3 of the planet is Christian. Majority of those Christians are just going about their lives, trying to raise their families the way they see fit. Unless you live in a very evangelical town, i seriously doubt you are persecuted for not believing.

While I never refused to let my kids celebrate Santa, I did refuse to let my kids masturbate Santa.

It's not the majority that are the problem. It's the Christians who use their religion as a platform to get legislation. Abortion laws or gay marriage would be a good example of religious overreach. It is a little unnerving when religious zealot finds their way into public office and rightfully so.
The whole thing is kind of silly when you sit back and really think about it. Flying around in the sky being pulled by reindeer is a lie you shouldn't tell little kids but convincing them that some dude walked on water, came back from the dead and you don't believe the story he would torture you for all of eternity. How is that beneficial to society? Nobody has ever said the christian code of ethics is something bad but when you take up the position that your code is infallible and damn people who don't believe, reality starts getting a little slippery.

I assume if their parents refuse to celebrate santa/christmas with them these kids just get pissed off when they see this stuff all season. I guess making the kids pissed off all the time is a better outcome than having them awe struck and happy about a mythical old man in a red suit that brings joy and gifts to a world full of cynics and hypocrites.
