I cut veneers pretty regularly...cut about $3500 worth of cherry this weekend....

Got mine for free. 1st cousin retired a couple years ago, used me to practice before offering to his clients.

My veener was cut a few days after I was born, even though I'm not Jewish.

I cut some veneers the other day in my bandsaw, if that's any help.

Got some rough sawn cherry in 4/4 and 8/4 kiln dried from a guy i know for under $2.50/bf. That's some of it.

Bandsaw. 1/8 inch blades. Not true veneers but under 3/16 of an inch over 8-10 feet rough cut. Setup is identical to that for cutting lumber for what I am calling veneers. Was lucky to have a neighbor with a nice black cherry that was partially uprooted in Helene....
I have a 9 HP woodland mills HM22. About as entry level as entry level gets but if you take your time and do not mind some insanely hard arse work it will get the job done. I have cut right at 8000 board feet of mostly SYP in the last 16 weeks working 6-10 hours on the weekends. It will do the work but it is a lot of work.

I know a guy that was working as a civilian contractor in Afghanistan years ago, and he did a layover on his way home in Dubai to have the procedure done. He got his whole mouth done for $10,000. (I understand that to be cheap)
