I’d be really impressed if you could do that

You should have a live Mingo 100 push up challenge to prove the haters wrong

Well aerobic and anaerobic are different energy systems so that's not that surprising

So if someone running distance can't do it, do you think someone who runs sporadically, if at all, would be able to do it?

I doubt it and I don't think anyone is a "sad excuse of a man" for not being able to.

most of that isn't too difficult, but I've never done a pull up in my life so count me out.

One thing I noticed is the guys are constantly shivering with teeth chattering all through hell week. You are miserably wet and cold during it.

All the guys there are physically capable of making it through the training. They just find out who really wants to be there lol. And that cold arse water has a way of sending most of them home or out to fleet.

I could meet optimum standards on the pull ups, push ups, and run right now. Not sure aboot the swim. Curl ups could be close.

Make sure your glutes are activated before trying

The swim starts with 15 minutes of treading water

Deuce Midnight is a beast, but he would have trouble with that optimum run standard. That's a 18:00 to 18:10 5k for you casual runners.

I couldn’t do the run but I could probably do the calisthenics. I’ve never been on a run a day in my life that wasn’t at some form of athletic practice and I graduated high school over 20 years ago. My cardio is shite but I’m in the best shape of my life as far as strength.

I’ve never done a 500 yard swim

I could do all the rest easily in college under optimum standards. But I played college football. I dunno about the swim I never tried it.

I could do 3/5 today. I’ve smoked too many cigarettes while drinking the past 10 years to do the run and swim times. I have the strength to do the other 3 still

Just to make it clearer, a pushup is typically considered benching about 2/3 of your body weight. So, of you weigh 210 then it's asking you to put two 45s on the bar and press it 100 times in two minutes. I can guarantee there isnt a soul on this board that can do that.

If you were never a swimmer and your cardio is bad I don't see any way you'd be able to even make the min on it.

I can do that fairly easily and I don’t consider myself to be in elite shape. The swim would be the hardest test for most.

Less than 5% of the people that post on the entire site, all pages, could pass the minimum. And the more I think about it, 5% is probably way to high.
