How? Telling a kid “just do what makes you feel good” is pretty much the most evil mindset you can have. It’s a “frick everyone else, this world is my world and I can do whatever the frick I want with zero consequences.” It’s the entire moral of the story to Pinocchio.

We have slipped so far down the slope now it may be impossible to climb back up.

Yeah, my parents have gotten into a tussle with me a few times. It’s just…, It’s only just…, it’s just, just, just, just, JUST, JUST- what fricking “just” are we on, Mom and Dad? I went back to my parents place last weekend for the Ole Miss/LSU game, and thank God the last horse has crossed the finish line with my Mom (who has a major preexisting lung condition btw and almost kicked the bucket twice over it) is now saying she’s done and come to my conclusion.

My Dad is a work in process who loathes DeSantis (my Mom is a fan) simply because Lester Holt and Matt Drudge tell him to hate him and he has put forth no thought on why he hates DeSantis. It really is that simple that he’s just doing what he’s told to do by those two, even if he claims he voted for Trump in 2020 (not sure if I believe him to be honest and likely did a write in).
