re: Why do liberals care whether or not a deported illegal has committed a violent crime?
Posted by exiledhogfan on 2/22/26 at 11:57 am to thebigmuffaletta
I will type this slowly.
Spend billions going from jail to jail from Maine to Hawaii and immediately deporting anyone here illegally who has committed a violent or even non-violent crime (no, a parking ticket does not count).
Spend billions more identifying anyone here illegally suspected of comitting a violent or non-violent crime (other than a parking ticket), finding those people and immediately deporting them.
Spend billions more identifying any swinging dick in this country who hired someone here illegally and putting their arse in jail.
Not. One. Issue.
But don't tell me you're doing that when you're putting kids in cages and spiriting off to who knows where people who have been here for decades and ONLY contributed to our communities, you lyin' piece of shite.

Yep. If you're gonna accuse someone of being under the influence of a foreign power — more projecting on Trump's part, by the way — you better know what you're talking about.
Course, that's not Trump's bag.

re: Trump to issue EO requiring voter ID before midterms
Posted by exiledhogfan on 2/13/26 at 9:19 pm to CubsFanBudMan
Yes, the rules are set. It's this crazy thing called our Constitution. And it says the states set the rules for their own elections.
If 75% of the country supports voter ID, then have them contact their representatives in Congress and have them convene a constitutional convention to change the Constitution.
That's how it's supposed to work.

re: Tillis applauds jury’s rejection of Justice Department’s attempt to indict Democrats

Here's a very simple one: You get in a firefight. Afterward, you discover an enemy soldier, who promptly surrenders. A lieutenant comes along and tells you to put a bullet in the guy's head.
That's an illegal order.
That's an illegal order.

No, they did not. They reminded military members they have an obligation to refuse ILLEGAL orders.

Surprised to see this Associated Press story on the wire this morning; this is the headline and summary:
FBI concluded Jeffrey Epstein wasn’t running a sex trafficking ring for powerful men, files show
The FBI pored over Jeffrey Epstein’s bank records and emails. It searched his homes. It spent years interviewing his victims and examining his connections to some of the world’s most influential people. But while investigators collected ample proof that Epstein sexually abused multiple underage girls, records released by the Justice Department show they found scant evidence he led a sex trafficking ring serving powerful men. Investigators wrote in one memo reviewed by The Associated Press that they were unable to substantiate one victim's highly public claim that he “lent her” to his rich friends, and found no other victims telling a similar story.
