I agree it is murder. The lady was cuffed and under control it seems. One of the LEOs had ample time to walk to him while he was covered and cuff him. The guy was clumsy and scared. The cop was behaving Assholish and appeared eager to shoot.

I back LEAs 100% but this was uncalled for.

There's more than one officer, all heavily armed, and the guy is lying on the ground spread out. One could have gone up and easily handled him.

Also, he put his hands behind his back at an earlier point and no one dusted him off.

I am curious how this is the first time I've seen this video?

I believe the Michael Brown was justified. I believe the Alton Sterling was justified.

I also believe the guy in South Carolina was rightfully convicted earlier today.

But this one is much more heinous. It was calculated cold blooded murder. If a jury were allowed to watch that video, I do not understand how they could return a not guilty verdict.

Yeah. I don't think I've seen a worse shooting than this one.

Christ.

And those constant orders were just absurb.

Lay on your stomach. Hands behind your back. Done.

Not cross your legs, touch your toes, do the macarena all while balancing yourself on upside down on your head.

I'd love to hear a LEO on here explain the justification for not subduing him at that point and instead, giving him a set of orders EVEN THE COP seemed to assume he was going to be unable to comply with, going so far as warning him that if he did not he was going to kill him?

Not to mention...WTF is the cop talking about telling the guy to crawl with his hands up?!? Does he mean walk on his knees?? Even though I realized I was watching an execution, I couldn't help picture this scene when he was barking out that impossible to follow order.

Everybody freeze...everybody down on the ground

And of course, both take place in Arizona...

What's the backstory there? Why the hell would he start screaming about seeing his hands simply because a guy in a truck got out of his vehicle?

I'd say that one, and the one in the OP are about the 2 worst ones I've ever seen.

Here's the one I was thinking of, so absurd...though I think that cop is in jail now?

It's extremely evident we have a real problem with training and vetting police officers in this country.

That cop in the video you posted was moving and shooting at the same time into the direction of a crowded public gas station. What the frick dude.

Actually, the guy reaching behind his back after being warned NOT TO is what resulted in him getting killed.

No. The procedure led to the killing. It made it more likely that the officer would end up shooting an intoxicated subject. What’s not yet publicly known is if the cop followed the procedure he was trained to use (most likely), or if he deviated from his training and used procedures he was not trained to do (this probably would have led to conviction).

I can understand an acquittal if the officer was following procedures. It’s beyond question that the procedures he used were HIGHLY flawed.

Can you honestly say I’m wrong? The average person has seen better tactics on Cops and Live PD, which helps raise public awareness about these things.

There's another one perpetrated by a horrendous shite stain on the police reputation.
I remember when that one happened.

Ridiculous.

Good thing we have dash cams now. You are insane if you don't have one. They are less than$30 now.

I honestly can't understand how someone could watch this video, the guy doing everything he can to comply, crying and shaking with fear, and defend this cop.

And the only way I can think the jury acquitted him is someone in the police threatened them somehow.

The LEO in SC who shot the guy in the back and planted a taser on him got 20 years yesterday.

No you didn't miss anything. The commands were clear the the idiot reached behind his back.

I would have voted NG also.

So you have no standard for commands? As long as whatever insane thing is commanded is said clearly you're ok with killing someone who doesn't comply?

Ignore and suppress all of your natural instincts while intoxicated and crawling with your ankles locked together on your knees with your hands on the air is a reasonable request to you?

The guy might as well have said sing the macerana backwards in Greek while hoping on one leg? Can't do it? Dead. It's ok. I said it clearly.

The prosecution attorney failed at arguably the most important part of the trial: jury selection
