Doesn't fit the narrative, so you have to ignore that one.

No, the narrative that all cops get away with murder
Posted on 12/8/17 at 1:18 pm to Mr. Hangover
should be that ZERO should get away with murder

If you’re responding to my post because you believe I’m defending this cop, you must have me mistaken for someone else.
I believe the cop was poorly trained by an agency that set him up to fail.
No responsible domestic law enforcement agency trains an officer to shoot based on hand motions alone unless a weapon is visible. Simulated shoot / don’t shoot scenarios routinely are used to trick officers into shooting when there’s no imminent threat (people in a shooting stance holding only a tv remote, for example). The purpose of that training is to raise the officer’s awareness of how easy it ease to shoot an unarmed person if you’re not staying calm and assessing rationally.
The officer could have easily addressed his concern about the possibility of a weapon being hidden behind the subject by having the subject face the other way, lift his shirt above his shoulders and turn around slowly. Talking him into then stepping backwards toward the officer slowly until in a safe position to take a knee would have been the next step. Then cross legs. Then put hands on back of head, locking fingers together. One officer then goes into cuff. Everyone goes home safe.
But he didn’t. He clearly was not trained to do that. That liability is on the agency. The agency will be sued, and will be paying out millions over this.

Agreed. When the circumstances meet the legal definition of murder.
Following agency training in most jurisdictions will not meet the legal standards of murder.

To Everyone one of you defending this cops actions.... I hope your son or daughter gets killed by a cop sooner than later
ETA: I also hope it’s caught on video tape so I can laugh about it.

The commands were clear
He told him to lay on his face put his hands out in front of him and then cross his ankles (but not just cross his ankles, but to cross them left over right, because right over left would obviously mean certain death for this officer) THEN he instructed him to get up on his knees (but not uncrossing his ankles) with his hands above his head...and crawl.
Crawl. With his hands above his head. Can someone please demonstrate how in the flying frick you're supposed to CRAWL with your hands in the motherfricking air?
Yes...his instructions were crystal clear.
In case we're all confused as to what crawling looks like...

That cop went to prison because he violated Scott's civil rights otherwise he's free. 99% of the time a cop facing murder charges will walk. That's even if charges are brought up.

If you kill a cop in self defense how many years are you getting?

fact, since 2005, there have only been 13 officers convicted of murder or manslaughter in fatal on-duty shootings, according to data provided to The Huffington Post by Philip Stinson, an associate professor of criminology at Ohio’s Bowling Green State University. Stinson's data doesn't include cases in which civilians died in police custody or were killed by other means, or those in which officers only faced lesser charges.
One of the last successful convictions came in 2013, when Culpeper Town, Virginia, police officer Daniel Harmon-Wright was sentenced to three years in jail for voluntary manslaughter charges in the slaying of Patricia Cook, an unarmed 54-year-old, a year earlier.

I wasn't responding to your post because I believed you were defending the cop. I responded to your post because it was the last one and you asked a question about our honest feelings, which I gave in the general sense.

White guy. Cop will go to trial. There will be no protests. No condos will be burned. The community will accept the judgment of the court.

If the cop was in fact just carrying out “bad training” why was he fired from the police force that trained him?
Did the police force have is weapon engraved with “You’re fricked” on it?
I really do support law enforcement. I believe those men and women have the right to go home safely to their families after their work shift.
I can understand why they responded to this call in full tactical gear since there was someone pointing a gun described as a rifle out of a hotel window.
But I did not see any justifiable reason that man had to be shot in the face from a distance of less than 10 feet. Not even the distance of a free throw.
I watched some of the trial on YouTube. The cop says he was “terrified” for his life because the dead guy had gotten so close he actually had the “tactical advantage”.
An unarmed guy, crawling on his knees, hands up, crying, and begging not to be shot had the tactical advantage over at least 4 cops from 10 feet away?
I really fail to see this being a training issue. This was a murder. A cold blooded murder.
I’m still curious to hear what members of law enforcement have to say? Maybe I’m wrong? But what I saw frightens me.

Thug cop POS shot an unarmed, frightened civilian because he wanted to, plain and simple. Fukkin pig.
Posted on 12/8/17 at 2:27 pm to Willie Stroker
Another thing if it was really a training issue.
Why did only one cop shoot?
There was at least 4 other cops with weapons drawn. I believe I read there were a total of 6. But I counted 4 from the video itself.
Why weren’t the other police officers trained as poorly?

He shot the guy for not following direction not because he thought he had a gun. The guy yelling the commands set the rules right off the bat, his partner was following them too. I don't see how a jury did not convict him. How do you defend that? How does a jury believe that a drunk guy deserved that shooting?
If that was my son or brother that cops days would be numbered.
