Ankle monitoring in New Orleans is coming to an end

In a statement, the City of New Orleans said it is reviewing the concerns raised by ASAP.
"It’s important to note that this is a service and contract directly overseen by the Criminal Court," the statement said.

FREE MARKET. If money can be made providing this service, someone will offer it. If not, then government needs to ignore their desire to pour money in and subsidize. Let it cease to exist. Alternatively, if the public interest is great enough, then the government can offer the service. Those are the choices.

Because crime is so low they no longer have a business.
Since February crime is virtually non-existent in the city. Almost down to nothing.

The OP says that “ankle monitoring in New Orleans is coming to an end”.
The article says the company currently handling monitoring for New Orleans is giving notice that they are terminating service in a few weeks, but would like to sit down with stakeholders to figure out a way forward. Stakeholders have voiced a willingness to do so, but also state that if the company does stop services, they will look for other options.
Do you consider the two to be one and the same? Or is the thread title a bit sensationalized?
