Cougars kill by biting to the face and neck of animals. I don't know what the hell is going on in that gif. I also can't discern the size of cougar in that gif. It looks small.

Full grown, male mountain lions will hunt elk and bull moose. They are powerful af

Then which one would you rather fight?

bull moose.

Shenanigans. Have you seen a bull moose?

I was barely able to carry one's head. And I've got 100lbs on that pussy.

I came out the victor in the hand to hand combat with mine by thoroughly beating the stuffing out of it.

Dragon would just need one bite to kill the Mountain Lion.

But Mountain Lion would kill the dragon after that bite, then die a slow and painful death.

Its the only answer to this.

Most likely outcome is a draw, though I don't think the Komodo Dragon has a chance to win outright. Mountain Lion does.

The Komodo has a superior sense of smell and taste (forked tongue), but it's made to detect carrion. Its bite is equal to the force of a house cat.

Mountain Lions can kill and eat elk, an animal which can outweigh a lion by ~400 pounds.

Further, the Komodo dragon has a weak sense of hearing and average eye sight. It's also a type of monitor lizard, so we're dealing with an animal much lower on the intelligence scale than a Mountain Lion.

So I'd say the Mountain Lion could get the kill but one bite from the Komodo and the cat dies too.

This is a tough one, but I'd go with the mountain lion if I had to guess.

Komodo's are scary as shite to me.

They bite their prey then stalk it as it dies a slow and agonizing death from infection, then they eat the corpse.

That is some fricked up shite, nature.

Dragon. They kill animals the size of a cape buffalo. One bite and they wait it out until it is too week or just flat out dies. Lion is quicker but surely would take a nick somewhere.

That is a misconception, they use venom. Sure there might be some nasty microbes that would cause infection, but the venom kills the prey faster than the infection develops. Waiting for infection to kill the prey would mean the dragons are stalking prey for like a couple days.

That's no ordinary actor though. That's The Buffalo Rider or as he's more affectionately known around YouTube
The Guy On A Buffalo!!

All true. One factor that hasn't been discussed is the cat's superior stamina. Reptiles get tired really quick and the formation of lactic acid can almost paralyze the komodo. The cat could toy with it staying out of reach and pounce at the right time. Cat wins every single time.
