This dude needs to shut his mouth and stop attempting damage control.

Firing the horse face bitch was a move in the right direction. Now just shut up.

Meanwhile, sales at Miller and others are going up to fill the void. Those places then need to hire more people to meet demand. It'll all work out in the end, Belgian Beer Bitch.

I'm sure if things were going splendidly, he would be sharing his CEO bonus with those same employees.

he should have been thinking of his employees when he allowed something so tremendously stupid to occur under his watch.

actions have consequences.

So, what does that mean?

Interesting philosophical move...

Force everyone to be "political" with their dollars by making everything political - like just buying some beer or a chicken sandwich.

Then when people take their political positions - that you've forced on them - and stop buying it - now make it about general social good for people and employees.'

Where - they should have kept it about beer and having fun and people and employees. But they literally chose not to.

Here's an idea: Make beer (better beer, but at least beer), talk about beer. Have fun marketing programs about beer. Keep the politics out and MAYBE people won't then make their purchases a political action that might impact your employees.

The straight gall of corporations in modern times is so misguided.

Not only that - that's how capitalism works. I choose NOT to buy lots of things. Do I have to buy everything in the world just because someone is an employee of that company? I won't. And I couldn't even if I wanted to. That's at least some level of choice that is impacting employees of thousands of companies.

Bud Light boycotters decimating sales over Dylan Mulvaney promotion should think about employees

That has got to be the stupidest thing I've heard from anyone associated with marketing.

So, Brand....Errrr Brendon, should we only react to your approved marketing schemes if they affect us positively? Is that the game you expect us to play? Hell, I'd have more respect for your idea if you went with the "Ricky Bobby" scheme and said "Drink Bud Light or f*ck you!"

(Former) Bud Light drinkers would have thought this was funny and it probably would have actually increased sales.

But the marketing director said that it’s too fratty and out of touch.
