An example of Cox Cable stupidity

I reported to Cox Thursday morning that my cable wire to my house was disconnected by the wind in the storm. I was told that they were working in the neighborhood and it would be connected back up in the next day or two.
An hour ago, a Cox truck pulls up and commences to reconnect my neighbors wire, I figured they would reconnect mine at the same time. They refused to reconnect my wire because they did not have a workforce. I told the guy 'come on man", my wire at the corner of my house is 15 feet away from where my neighbors wire is connected on the corner of his house, and they go across the street and connect to the same spot on the utility pole. They refused to reconnect
my line even though they were 15 feet away from it.
So Cox, even though they have thousands to reconnect, are wasting time by hopscothing across neighborhoods.

slip him a 20 and some beer.
It worked with the garbage man. He cleared everything, trash, debris, boxes, etc. He even helped me get shite out of my garage for 20 bucks, a beer, a water, and a protein bar.

For a hundred bucks, I’ll come hook it up and get you free cable.

It might have to do with needed a work order or ticket to do the repair. I agree that doesn’t make sense but it’s probably work protocol.

he's probably a contractor, and without a work order, there is nothing to bill the charge to. is he's an employee, he has nothing to bill his time to.
fill out the tps report AND put the cover sheet on all tps reports before they go out.

So why are you still paying “Cux Cable” $100plus every single month for putting bs fake news in your house???

Go to Walmart and get a splitter, wait till the neighbor leaves and go split his wire where it goes in the house.
Once Cox figures this out they will come disconnect it and connect yours

Wait till they jack your bill up again next month

Actually, he's probably a contractor (since this is cable company-related issue), and his personal company was not issued the work order. So basically he would be doing this work for free, and another company will be paid for it (in fact, it won't just be for free, it will actually more likely be done at his own personal expense, because he would have to pay for the repair parts on his own and then not be able to bill the cable company for it, since another company was issued the work order).

THIS, why don't people understand this?
And if reconnecting the cable is so simple and quick, why haven't you done it yourself? Sounds like you just want to be angry

It’s probably a contractor and right now they get paid $30 a drop. Why would they do it free for you if it’s not on the work order? Heck I bet if you give the guy $40 tips he would hook it up for you already.

Tweet about it.. No bullshite. This past Saturday Fox went blank while I was watching a game and I tweeted something like "Great! Fox just went out, I hope @Cox has this problem fixed before the LSU game" and within a minute I got a response saying they are looking into it and it will be fixed as soon as possible.
Your situation is a lot more ridiculous so tweet it, @ cox and you never know what might happen.

Most of those guys are independent and are not getting paid unless cox tells them to fix it.

Should be grateful to have cable. Literally got quoted today from cox for $65k to run it to my house.
