No, you don’t have to pay off American Express by the end of the month. They changed it I’m pretty sure

I found myself in over $40K worth of credit card debt at the beginning of the year. Living way beyond my means and I didn't get a grip and stop myself before I was in way too deep. It's really easy to do when you have a high credit limit and no self control.
Happy to say it's down to $10K now but I still have a long way to go.
Think of how much even that $10k is for your personal income. If you make $100k a year, you have to work more than 10% of the year just to pay it off (taxes knocks down the $100k to $75k and pay interest on top of it). And it takes a fraction of the time to run it up that high.
When I was younger I had 3 motorcycles, a Dodge Dakota, and a maxed out credit card. That was a struggle to get out of. Finally got out of it, racked up another $15k in cc debt and got out of that. Maybe it's age or maybe I'm just fortunate but I don't put anything on the CC I can't pay off immediately. My only debt is my mortgage at this point and I'd love nothing more than to knock that out now.
I'm just waiting for all these idiots who have boatloads of debt to stop buying but it seems like it'll never end.

Meh. Biden sucks but this has little to nothing to do with him
It has everything to do with Biden. Biden policies caused 5he rapid inflation that everyone knew it would. When people have to spend all their paycheck to rent they have few options to survive, especially if they have kids.
Liberal idiots sold other liberal idiots the idea that forcing higher cost of workers would work in a vacuum when everyone else knew the cost of goods would go up higher than the wage increases. Welcome to reality of economics 101.

Wrong.
Oil and gas going up makes prices go up. Thi sis th emost hostile admin toward the industry.
War in ukraine makes prices go up on things like gas and food too.
On top of that your VP ran on us farming less and consuming less red meat. We artificially have reduced the supply. The cost of everything goes up.

Which policies? Point them out.
Oh wait, you can't. But morons will still up vote anyway because they are too stupid to know this started before Biden.

Zero for me. Well other than my streaming service which is not much and gets paid monthly, but that isn't really debt.

Pay everything using credit cards, pay them off every Saturday. Give me my points and my free hotel stays and flights and car rentals and piss right off. You'll get $0 interest from me and like it, Chase and Capital One.

I’ll float some big balances (2-6k) here and there for a few months on a 0 interest card when paying for a big trip. I’ll always make huge chunk payments on it and have it paid off well before the 0 interest runs out though. Credits in good shape and I don’t really see the harm in doing it that way . That’s really the only thing we spend any big $ on though is travel. Neither of us have a car note.

I'm fortunate my father has always taught me finance from a very young age. First rule is dont carry a lot debt, which is literally the best/easiest piece of advice youll get. That being said 98% of people fall into the Jones's trap because of self control, much like an addict.
I am just starting to understand his game now as I watched him retire at 59, meet some serious milestones financially and now he literally just collects. Zero debt. I only say this because I am also watching people 5 years older than him working with me with no intention of retiring within the next 3-4. I can only help but think what a lucky bastard he is.

When you have the financial solidity and discipline, there's no reason not to take advantage of 0% interest loans.

Good lord. WTF do people buy?
I can’t tell you how many people I know my age(33) who simply don’t give half a frick anymore and choose to just live it up. To them everything is fake at this point.
They entered the world after HS and the economy crashed. How many times has it crashed since? They’ve been through Covid and the vaccine and lockdowns and all that shite for years. Their student debt being forgiven is constantly being talked about. They’re getting older and social media has poisoned peoples’ minds and they’re just saying frick it. They’re having less kids, not getting married, and living it up in this shite fricked world we live in.
There’s a huge feeling out there that nothing matters anymore. Debt? Who gives a shite. Yolo.

It was Blumpf and Congress, too. But the cost of living increases are almost entirely due to political decisions.
