I prefer my commie clothes to be made in Vietnam. Quality is better.

The ads on FB are pretty much 100% cheap Chinese junk. Put a very close and attentive eye to the ads and you'll catch on that the ads are AI (albeit fairly good AI). A solid rule for purchasing anything from a link you clicked from a FB ad is - DON'T.

I’ve worn Birkenstocks for 20+ years. There used to be shops that could resole/repair everything but the leather for $75. They used authentic Birkenstock cork and soles. The shop I used in Vermont went out of business, so I sent them to a place in Ohio, and while they are comfortable, they’re not Birkenstock brand and they cost me $120 to resole/recork. $40 more and I could have had a brand new pair.

I still buy Birkenstock because I know they last, but I shop sales or buy on Poshmark- lots of overstock on sale for a good deal out there

When I need a few shirts I go to random websites, mostly academy, filter it down to my size and sort low to highest on price and buy them for $8-10. I dont pay premium prices for clothing anymore. Pants I get from Sams for $18 and they comfortable and look good.

No desire to shop at Amazon

Out of country junk
Loss of American jobs

Shopping at Amazon in the first place may be a sign of diminishing intelligence.

The raw materials that shoes, purses and clothes are made from are cheap. High end brands you are paying for name only.

My good Bushnell binoculars broke. (I like watching birds.) Bought some cheap ones on Amazon for $31 and they are better than the expensive ones that broke.

Not saying your cheap binoculars were not better than you good binoculars. But your “good” binoculars that you replaced were not good either. Good glass is not cheap and there is no such thing as good binoculars for $30.

Birkenstocks and plastic “stretchy” clothing.

The OT posters crack me up.

I came around to this strategy a few years ago and I’ve found that the cheaper no name brands on Amazon have the same or better quality than the big brands (Ralph Lauren, Nike, Under Armour, etc.).
