He’s been locked up long enough for the test to have run.

I’m still here. Baby needed a diaper change. I did call the front desk. They said no one in or out of room until they hear back from either state health department or CDC. I told them they had until 1215 or I was going to find a way out.

Man you gotta break out of that. This is nuts. You need a phone charger. Before you leave you need to take a huge shite and piss all over the place.

Im sorry to hear that man. Sounds like a nightmare. Tell you the truth if it wasnt for your son being an infant, in my nom-medical opinion I think it's best if people not go to the doctor for a while unless the symptons are too too severe. Id much rather chill at home taking some medicine and eat soup, rather than being government quarantined.

Your fine.
Your son is likely just sick.

Even if he had coronavirus.
Zero babies have died from coronavirus worldwide!

Not the point. They’re LOCKED IN — without being told first. That’s not right on any level.

Literally no positive cases of COVID-19 reported world wide in kids or children 9 and younger.

Literally wrong.

No children under 9 have died, but they can certainly be infected. They are seemingly all recovering or not showing symptoms, but they can pass the virus around. OP's kid could have it and will very, very likely be fine. It's certainly possible that OP caught it from the person on the plane and, despite being asymptomatic, passed it along to his son. I'm not saying it's likely b/c the odds are that OP's son just has a damn fever.

Are children less likely to be infected than adults?
It’s not yet entirely clear if children are less likely to be infected, or if their cases have simply been more likely to go undetected because they have milder symptoms. In late February, the World Health Organization said “it is not possible to determine the extent of infection among children” or “whether children are less susceptible.”

So far, adults have made up the vast majority of confirmed cases, and cases with more severe symptoms. When researchers recently looked at nearly 45,000 confirmed cases in China, fewer than 1% were in children ages 9 and under, while around 1.2% of cases were in children and teens ages 10 to 19, according to data published in late February in the Journal of the American Medical Association. (None of the children under 9 died, and only one of the older children died, the same data showed.)

But new data has epidemiologists thinking children could have similar rates of infection as adults, the Washington Post reported Tuesday. Research released last week examining data from a Chinese public health authority found child infection rates were comparable to adult infection rates if authorities tested people who had come into contact with others who tested positive, rather than just testing those with obvious symptoms.

If this is true, pull the fire alarm and leave. Then go home and avoid other people. Get your kid lots of soup and some cough suppressant.

a fricking medical professional needs the governments guidance on how to treat patients now? How have they made it this far?! lol. fricking idiot

Could they be calling the county or Parrish health dept? Absolutely. It is actually part of our protocol in dealing with patients. Especially when your patient presents with a KNOWN exposure to a positive patient. OP is out of a 14 day window, but if he was a carrier and had super mild symptoms he chalked up to pollen etc? His kid is still in a 14 day window from exposure to him.

Is there some hand wringing and pearl clutching going on in that office? Maybe. If they aren’t calling the health dept though they are idiots.

The OP will be fine and so will his baby, but that office is probably scrambling until someone in authority says it is fine.

If someone locked me inside a room against my will I would publicly lose my ever loving shite. I'm not at all the type to raise hell about minor stuff, but that is dangerous as fawk and illegal as hell.
