My sisters get black cherry wisniak. Its a seasonal beverage favored by our now deceased mom. It was invented as a soft drink in the 1950s in Philadelphia, within whose marketing shadow we rested then, a few miles north, in Edgewater Park, a Jersey burb. So my sisters have to have it. Canada dry makes it now, so you can duplicate the general idea, but its not "Frank's", the original. FWIW, I dont like the national brands version black cherry wisniak. There really is a difference, like pepsi v coca cola v generic cheapo.

Real black cherry wisniak from eastern Europe is hard liquor made with black cherries and sugar.
Dear op, you dont have to drink it. I wouldnt.
But dont make it the reason you wont love them.
