I've seen a few digital billboards up around BR with Allie's picture on them. Maybe we can get some excerpts from her dad's remembrance post up there. If anything, just to remind whatever piece of fricking shite did this that they're a piece of fricking shite.

You can't go directly for the head of the snake (SWB), you have to pick off the low hanging fruit first. I would start with the 600+ members of the BR Union of Police that already constructed an embarrassing billboard in June 2020 aimed at the incompetency of SWB and MP. See if they can do a Phase 2 billboard in light of all these recent violent crimes, and then see how much grassroots' traction you can get from there.

I wouldn't bet on that. My guess is half of the population (mainly those living north of Government), would not sign a recall effort. Doing the math...I don't like the chances of her being recalled.

I think I know exactly who was on there and went to school with her and her husband.
She runs a business toward the Jefferson end of Government.
She also has been fairly hyperbolic for years so I wouldn’t be surprised if she was exaggerating a bit.

I think we need to lower our expectations. Don’t forget Janessa Hartley sitting in her car in her Sherwood Forest driveway was shot, has never been solved either.

Offer a million dollar reward for information leading to the arrest of the killer. When their mother turns them in, crawfish and tell her you’ve decided she doesn’t deserve it for being a shitty parent.

Wouldn't be surprised if they end up in jail for some other crimes though. They'll do something like this again and get busted eventually

Every day that goes by I get more pissed off
LSU has nothing more to say about this? They don’t care about the safety of their students?
Why do we allow this violence in our communities. I say allow because the consequences are so lenient that these pieces of shite don’t care. They know they likely aren’t getting caught and even if they do get caught they might serve 10 years.
There needs to be immediate violent justice and every criminal needs to know that if you frick around and get caught you will never see the light of day again. We are a pathetic weak society being preyed on by animals. Only a strong society can fix this.

Outside of a generic press release, LSU hasn’t acknowledged it.
Tate didn’t even do that. Not a peep from him.
I hated the Tate hire. Gave him the benefit of the doubt. Thought perhaps I was wrong. Started hearing things even before this. Now silence on Allie.
I was right, along with a lot of people. He’s a joke.

The general public is going to have zero inside knowledge about the forensics that are being worked behind the scenes. Remember, there were shell casings found at the scene.
There’s many avenues of approach from an IT perspective that the FBI can work that will lead to the identities of people in the area at the time of when the homicide occurred where a process of elimination would unfold in identifying suspects, and cross checking criminal histories with the people identified. Understanding and reading what the data says will play an integral role in catching these pieces of shite.

I'm so defeated about the whole thing. My initial strategy is to just move away and let LSU crumble into shite. It's almost as if the entire city, the university, the state - it's beyond saving. But I'd gladly get behind a BOS for the university that would actually do something to affect change for the better.
I've stopped my charitable giving. I'd love to be able to do something else but I just don't know how I'd make any difference.

In your opinion, do you think the suspects will be caught? I would have bet $$ that there would have been an arrest by now. Terribly disappointed that this animal is still out on the street.
Sad and an absolutely disgusting look at the condition of Baton Rouge.
Innocent college student cold blood murdered in the street and 10 days have passed with no known suspect.
BRPD, you absolutely suck and it's laid bare for the world to see with this case.

Is the Tennessee game scheduled for late morning for safety? If enough games had to be scheduled for a safer time, would the loss in revenue to the business men of BR get their attention and force changes in policing?
Or will this be broken by stricter policing by going after the small crimes that these guys do in between their murders?

There is absolutely nothing that can be done to fix BR, or the rest of this country, unless you have a time machine hidden away. Outside of that, it’s just going to progressively get worse and worse until one day people will not even be able to imagine what it must have been like to live in a safe and prosperous society. It is what it is.

bullshite
Armed citizens need to take back the night and deal with these TPOS on the streeet.

The problem is that even if BRPD was a well run, highly functional force this would still be a very tough crime to solve
Virtually no physical evidence at the scene outside of the shell casings, and those have yet to provide any leads
The one witness was able to give some details in regards to timeline and order of events, but his info on who he saw is about as generic as it gets - "couple of medium build black guys in hoodies"
Any cameras in the area probably caught the murders movements, but very unlikely they have the resolution or angle to get identifying marks or faces
In short, the only way this is probably getting solved is if somebody in these guys lives rats them out, or if the force actually has CI who can get the info and get it to the detectives.
I have a bad feeling we are going to be seeing this case on the network crime shows in the coming years asking if anyone has information to come forward
Posted on 9/27/22 at 9:27 pm to OldManRiver
Sadly, I think this crime might only be solved if someone is picked up on something else and offers up info to get a better deal. Random murders are difficult to solve, in general.
Posted on 9/27/22 at 9:47 pm to OldManRiver
Between the witness, local security cameras, gunshot mics, shell casings, cell tower data, the reward, and all the national agencies chipping in, something should have popped by now. The shell casings alone should have rendered prints to run against every known offender in EBR. I would be shocked if the shooter had never been arrested before.

But if they were a pro-active, well trained and had a pulse with the community than they could lean on a CI's find out what the streets are saying. Somebody knows something and the police could be greasing palms to get that info.
Maybe I just read too many crime novels.

I think sooner or later, something will break(with no help from current leadership). If they have a print or DNA from the shell casing with no match, one day some POS will be a match or one of his buddies will give him up as part of a plea for another crime to save his own arse...
Keep the faith despite the powers to be...
