Albuquerque, NM is terrible

For those ever considering moving here, don't. Poverty, homeless slobs, excessive crime, shitty infrastructure, and just an overall shitty attitude by most of the population. Hell, the wife and I are spending $1,300/month on a damned apartment just to get away from the seemingly endless impoverished and crime ridden areas. If they took away 90% of the population, it'd be a beautiful place to live, but as it is, it's one of the shite-stains of the west. Just 18 more months to go - don't move to Albuquerque... /rant

But it is better than Baton Rouge, right?

This seems like a trick. Are you trying to convince BR people not to move there so you can have it all to yourself?

They do have a Los Pollos, though.
The owner seems a bit sketchy, though.

Better call Saul to see if he can get you a deal on a better arrangement

The green chili is worth it.
Eta: frick it, I'd settle for a Twisters burrito right now.

I completely agree. Some of my wife's family is from there and I had the misfortune of visiting once. Hopefully that's the only time.

All of NM is terrible, nice to visit though.
Would hate to live there

The drive through the mountains on I-40 right east of town is pretty cool, though.

That's where we're overpaying to live, right off tramway nestled into the mountains. You do alright if you stay above the city and in the wilderness. I'll just nestle into my mountainous island as much as possible until my time is up here.

If you are in a good apartment away from the trash for only $1300 a month, you are doing pretty good.

Trust me, that was considered. I just didn't want to drive/ride that distance everyday.
