Might be moving there soon. Serious question, is there anything you do like in abq?

Artesia New Mexico is the best place to live if you move to NM. It's in south eastern New Mexico nice family oriented town!! Great football town, the football program has better facilities then most college teams! Home of 29 state championships!!

Lol... lived in Gallup for awhile. Pretty country out there, but I was sooooo glad to get back to grass and real trees here on la. Although, I must say the roasted pinions and kneeldown bread was fantabulous!

I liked Albuquerque. The only thing about it is, it's so damn cut off from everything else that it feels culturally locked--like it's two decades behind everywhere else. Very pretty place, though. Especially the foothills.

Yup... and it's in a hole. One of the coolest things is driving in from the Sandia's during a rain and watching it evaporate in mid air before it hits the ground

I lived there for a couple of years. We liked it. We had a really nice house in a gated community in the rio grande valley. There is a lot to do as long as you like the outdoors. Most people live pretty healthy active lifestyles and the weather is nice, although the winters were much colder than I was expecting.

Golden Pride BBQ, Chicken, and Ribs across from the University is delicious though.

Their ribs are legit!

Yeah the OP has yet to actually explain what he doesn't like about it beside "the people" and "crime" which every city has.

Ive lived there and visit twice a year.

It is not a white collar town, not many corporations, people with money are doctors, lawyers, business owners etc. But it is that way for the most part in LA.

Yea, there is poverty, drugs and vagabonds (many are Natives who were kicked off or left the reservation)

ABQ is densely packed BC you can't build south (AF Base) West (national monument) North (reservation) East (Mountain) so you can't really escape poor areas, homeless unless you're north of Academy.

Beautiful place, fantastic weather, Sunsets and all in all friendly laid back people.

The University Hospital was nice. Very clean and nice. So much better than what we have seen at LSUMC.
