Went there for a business trip once. Downtown was pretty slummy.

It's a 1 bedroom. I will bitch about that all day, everyday.

ETA: But you are right, I am luckier than most of the people here.

Look for the blue meth. It'll make your experience a lot better.

Do you have time to roll a number and rent a car?

People pay more to move to safe areas in every major city in the US. I've been to Albuquerque - are there bad areas and homeless people? Of course. There are in basically every major city in the United States. I would be interested to know what other large cities you have lived in.

Nope, that I am not, especially considering I am paying a mortgage on top of it.

Had the (dis)pleasure of driving through there on my drive back to AZ from CO. I just don't see any redeeming qualities minus the green chili (haven't tried). Just seems... desolate but trashy as well. Weird vibes too. Southern NM is boring as hell too.

Might stop by a random place for green chili on my way back though? Don't want to stop though

Madrid is a nice little town. Not a single homeless person around.

I would be very surprised if the violent crime/murder rates in Atlanta and Charleston are much lower than Albuquerque. I know nothing about the other two

And you certainly have to pay more to move away from crime heavy areas in Atlanta

I'm not saying they are, but first hand experience with the populations leads me to believe this place is a lot less desirable. The people here, for the most part, are fricking insane. I'd blame it on 6k elevation, but I've heard that's supposed to make on happier. Who knows?

Santa Fe is easily one of my favorite cities in the US. I really can't vouch for Albuquerque, but surely it is better than Huntsville.

Never been, but for some reason after watching No Country for Old Men and Hell or High Water I have the hankering to visit West TX/NM.

Take away most of the people, by far better than Huntsville. As far as the collective and living here? Not even close, Huntsville is better.

That's about what we've got (700 sq/ft 1 bedroom).. But hell, it's worth it. I don't have to worry about my shite getting stolen.
