Why do you care about bums and crime if that never affects you personally? Go eat at good Mexican restaurants, bike, hike, ski... travel to Colorado and other mountains on weekends. Get your priorities straight, stop worrying about shite that you can't change and live your own life

New Mexico is great. Yes Albuquerque is shite but the state as a whole is amazing.

Might be moving there soon. Serious question, is there anything you do like in abq?

The east mountains, the surrounding area is beautiful, some good food to be had, and I love Marble brewery. I do a lot of mountain biking, so there is that for me here, but no kayaking.

Placitas is nice (if you have $700,000 plus to buy a house lying around). Area mountain biking is amazing. Scenery is amazing. Basically everything North of 40 and East of 25 in the city is great.

Airport sucks though.

It's just like any city on earth. There are gonna be shite areas and nice areas. Not everything is Portland or boulder and even those places have plenty of homeless & drug addicts.

Car has been broken into twice, drunk drivers everywhere, and dudes are always wanting to fight for no apparent reason.

Didn't really mean to put New Mexico as a whole, just Albuquerque, will edit.

It does. I am in it everyday, just don't live in it.

I do all of that, thanks for the tip though.

My sister n law just moved there and she swears it's the best place to live. But she's an angry, atheist, feminist, liberal, tree hugger, so I don't believe her.

I've heard about the drunk drivers there. Bros wanting to fight for no reason is odd and seems annoying I agree.

Red River is a nice town. The northern part of NM is pretty.

I'm thinking it's because a lot of them are always drunk. I dunno. At times it's like closing time at a club.

It is a prime city to move to and train MMA since Greg Jackson is HQ'd there.

Sounds amazing, I wish.

That's why you have a good rent price, because it sucks. Same reason why my rent was cheap when I lived in Houston.

Last week, the wife and I were at Home Depot. A guy and his wife were in the isle, looking at merchandise on the other side talking, so we quickly walked in front to pass them. The guy screams at me "say excuse me, you prick".. Surprised at the outburst, I turned around and laughed at him. The guy rips his hat off and starts screaming "you want to go right here, we can take caps off and go".. We just walked off..

There have been a few similar incidences. Seems most people here are on edge, looking for a fight at all times.
