If you want to see where the US airline industry will be in about 20 years, take a trip down to South America, and fly regionally on LATAM.

What third-party app is charging extra for window seats? You pay extra for class, not window vs. aisle
Are you joking? When you choose your seat after booking you pay more for a window seat, more for an aisle seat, and more for a seat that is further towards the front.

This is why I bought my own jet.

To not sit between two other people.

Easier for me to sleep next to a wall than middle or aisle. I also don’t care to look out a window, so I close them anyway. I’d pay extra for a wall seat over a middle seat 100 x out of 100.

The Corporate World has evolved (or de-volved) quickly:
2005: "Service with a smile"; The customer is always right." "Your safety is our concern."
2025: "Frick you. We hate you." "Die." *middle finger*

I'm the opposite, because I'm a little claustrophobic if I'm on an airplane I'm going to be in an aisle seat where I at least have a little open space to one side of me. I still feel like I'm in a sardine can though

Well since you started it, they ought to give a twenty five buck discount for window seats over the wings.

I would legitimately like to see how an airline would fare if they took out those extra rows so we weren’t crammed like sardines. Each aisle lined up with each window like in the earlier days of flying. I feel like they would be constantly booked up.

You are correct. A slimeball lawyer saying that the words don't mean what they say, they mean something totally different is just adding to the stupidity.
Guarantee that the lawyer thinks this argument is dumb as frick, but their slimeball client is demanding they make it, so they are swallowing their pride for a paycheck.
Yet they are the slimeball and the client isn’t, apparently

You either haven't flown in years, or you have at least second tier elite status, which usually makes premium (window, aisle, bulkhead, exit row, *not* classes) seats free. You often can't even select a middle seat in coach that is too far forward (front half of plane) without paying if you don't have status.

You actually used both these words in the same sentence?

I've never thought that. Ive always assumed it was descriptive in nature"
Seat along the windows
Seat in the middle of a row
Seat along the aisle
So if I book a middle seat, but actually end up in the back or front of the plane, and not exactly in the middle of the aircraft, lawsuit?

Don't most planes automatically close the shades now anyway?

I hold it for any flight under 3 hours. I dont have to get up to piss. I dont want to get up 2 to 4 times in a 2 hour flight because you can't hold it. Also, I sometimes lean against the wall and sleep.
Window with leg room is the best seat on a plane anyway.

I hate being bumped by people coming through the aisle. I always choose window.
