All I have heard is one of the spouses. And that is absolute rumor.

Have no idea. Whoever was lost, and whoever they left behind have my sympathies. That is tough.

Been walking my mind to an easy time
My back turned towards the sun
Lord knows, when the cold wind blows
It'll turn your head around
Well, there's hours of time on the telephone line
To talk about things to come
Sweet dreams and flying machines in pieces on the ground

Tara was the only lawyer on board.

The link says she and her girl friends were on a "Girls Trip" to Paris. No other names so far in the link, but definitely Tara, a graduate of Tulane Law.

So does ice only accumulate on the wings at low levels or the ground? I would think there is a danger at high altitudes where it’s very cold. Could the pilot see the ice from his window or walk around inspection? If ice accumulated on one wing, it seems like this tragedy could have been pretty easily prevented.

Yeah, that’s a great business model for companies. That’s precisely what they do. And it takes the morally superior law firm to make them stop. I’m sure they don’t do it for the money. Or the class action status where the attorneys may pocket 100 million and each plaintiff gets a check for $9.77. Such crusaders for the little guy! Such crusaders for justice! You’re very naive. No. But you don't want any (or much) ice at take off.

There is, but most planes - especially multi-engine - have de-icing equipment on board to battle while aloft.

No. You need two things for ice to accumulate. Visible moisture and a surface near or below freezing. This can happen at any point on the ground or in the air.

There is, but most aircraft that can fly that high are equipped with some sort of de- or anti-icing equipment to prevent or shed ice buildup.

The pilot doing the walk-around noticed ice buildup. That’s why the crew decided to get Types I (de-ice) and IV (anti-ice) fluid before takeoff.

Once you’ve been sprayed with the above mentioned fluids, you have what’s called a “holdover time” which gives you a certain amount of time to takeoff before the liquid is no longer effective.

It’s too early to tell if ice was even the culprit here, and if it was there’s a multitude of reasons why they still crashed after getting sprayed.

“Suzanne,” in the beginning of the song, was his close friend and confidant, shared childhood aspirations, JT was a drug addict, problem child, and his dad, shrink, former head of UNC Med(maybe just the psych dept.) put him in an asylum, while he was in there Suzanne took her own life (the plans we made,) “The Flying Machine” was his first band, and it sort of crashed and burned along that timeline
