I don’t eat fast food but find this fascinating. Does it tolerate culcha outbursts? Is it linked to the shake machines for availability? Has anybody experienced this?

I just order in the app and say my order number when I get to the screen. I'm tired of those idiots getting the basic input of my order wrong especially when I'm as plain of a eater as it gets - I'm not like my ex that had to "customize" every fking order she made at every restaurant.

Taco Bell is mostly AI ordering now. It's great

My local Der Wienerschnitzel did this. I ordered a simple corn dog combo, as most of us LSU folks would. The AI voice was clearly supposed to be a black woman. It was basically the same experience I had with a real drive through worker, as they had completely fricked up my order and added some orange root beer float when all I wanted was a water.

Yep. I prefer the AI. There is no attitude and it takes my order immediately.

Yes, it has helped cut down on idiots messing up the order.

The taco bell near me has ai ordering and it's much better.

It understands very well, speaks clearly, doesn't make mistakes entering it in.

Over the long haul the AI is gonna do a much better job than a typical fast food employee.

I called YouTube TV because I had some questions, spoke with a robot voice the entire time and damned if it wasn’t more well spoken and intelligent than the average live customer support person. This won’t bode well for the folks in Hyderabad.

Thank you

Cant blame restaurants for not wanting to pay some borderline illiterate $20/hr to do something a machine can do instead.

And it definitely translates to how demanding and difficult they are in other areas of their life

What are the odds that lady lied about too many cokes being on her order?

Then is unsatisfied because the sub 50 IQ workers didn't get it exactly like she wanted it

Meet me at Sonic....

Seriously, why use AI voice when you could have the customer plug in exactly what they want and pay on a terminal? Then pull forward to get the bag o' shite

They are already used to doing this when they order doordash or whatever.

I don't want a million apps for things as simple as ordering food.
