We a have a sheriff that "patrols" the neighborhood while trick or treating is happening, so we haven't had any issues like that.

What crime would this cop have prevented?

We had a road block set up at each end of our road.

Was it your road or a city / parish road?

There was literally a sheriff rolling through our neighborhood last night.

Is your neighborhood gated?

If anyone was breaking a law, it is the kids running in and across the street, not the lady driving in a car on it.

Sounds like you should've dressed up as a Sonic employee for halloween and checked that lady's knuckles

Our last ToT'er of the night was a short teen girl dressed as Winnie the Pooh - I would have guessed 13 but apparently she was older. Didn't see her arrive.

She knocked, got her treats, then walked down to the street where she got in the driver's seat of a car and drove to the next house. Shall we just meet you at the street for drive-thru ToT?

That's when we knew it was time to shut down for the night.

We had a few cars doing this. The cars and pedestrians were respectful of each other. We had a cool float come through. It was a giant side-by-side, pulling a trailer that was at least 20' long.

It had about 50 bails of hay on it, and strings of lights on both the UTV and trailer. There were about 20 adults and kids on it and the stereo was blaring some Tootsie Roll song. They were loud and boisterous, but polite and having a good time.

We had this in our hood and I really didn’t think about it until now. Try not to let things like that bother you.

WTF is wrong with someone like this? I mean, I could understand if this person had a disability, but this moron got our of her car twice last night to yell at her kids to hurry up because she was cold. Yes, cold. The moron also had her window down blaring the most vile shite for everyone to hear. Yeah, lady, some rap music where every other word is the N word and F word is just what a street full of people want to hear while trying to do something with their kids. If you rolled your window up, we wouldn't hear your dumbed down music and you wouldn't be cold.

Really makes you think.

Without fail, every year, there is always one transplant that refuses to walk. This moron will drive through hordes of kids honking their horn for people to move so they can follow their kids that are running to the houses getting candy.

Ours was smoking in her piece of shite dinged up sedan.

Call the cops on her and tell them that you believe the lady is drinking.

The main block of our neighborhood gets a massive amount of kids, many from outside our neighborhood. The police block off access to the street from 6 pm to 9 pm, barricading the main entrance and all the side streets that intersect the main strip, and we have 2 deputies at each corner plus 2 more that just drive back and forth up and down the strip (about 10 total).

NO ONE drives down the street from 6 pm to 9 pm, with the exception of police. A lot of homeowners / party goers have gotten into heated discussions with the police when they attempt to drive down the street during that time, and the police won't allow any of it.
