A smiling Adolf Hitler caught in the photograph of a large crowd 112 years ago today...

On August 2, 1914, the German Empire declared war on the Russian Empire - which brought both countries officially into the conflict that would become known as the First World War. When news broke, a jubilant crowd gathered in the Munich Odeonsplatz to celebrate the coming of war.
Photographer Heinrich Hoffman was on hand to record the event for posterity. Captured in the still image was the smiling face of a twenty-six-year-old Austrian by the name of Adolf Hitler.

He was rejected from art school. They suggested he try architecture but that wasn't good enough for him. He was the bizarro George Costanza

He first tired to enlist in the Austro-Hungarian army but was turned down. He then petitioned to the Bavarian crown and was allowed to enlist in a Bavarian infantry regiment.
The rest is history.
Side note, Hitler would not gain German citizenship until 1932. Less than a year later he’d be the Chancellor of German.

Nobody liked Hitler until he became a very powerful man. He knew that his new friends were all phonies, so, in a fit of rage, he decided to destroy the World.

Except Hitler had a large, bushy mustache before the First World War when his experience with a gas mask prompted him to change it

It needs to be studied how he managed to transform a population of 80 million into a radicalized, bloodthirsty, death-cult. If you combine all of the POWs, concentration camp victims, innocent civilians, and soldiers of every country they went to war with, the Nazis probably killed close to 30 million people total.
Had Germany won the war, they would have conquered and enslaved almost every non-Aryan country in the world while leaving the Japs with a couple.
