I know someone from Rochester who’s niece named her kid Roux and said it was French for redhead or some shite like that. Wasn’t able to hold back my laugh and had to explain that it’s a dogs name or a gumbo starter.

Sure it wasn't Rouge?

Roux is already the most dumbass cliche name for a dog I can think of in Louisiana. This gal is dumb for naming her daughter that and I am disappointed in her husband for not having better taste.

Nice ambiguity move there so we can’t fact-check.

There are 17 different Rochesters in the US, one in Alberta, Canada, one in Australia and two in the UK.

“Springfield” can be the fictional location for your next made up person.

Teachers secretly hate kids whose parents intentionally misspell their name or it is not pronounced like its spelled.

Pre-pregnancy pics of the mother are needed to make accurate judgement. However, I am leaning towards trashy.

I have no issue with any name anybody wants to give their kids.

Calling someone your friend while gossiping about their kid's name however...
