Buried in the massive proposal—which is already longer than 2,700 pages—is a section titled, "ADVANCED IMPAIRED DRIVING TECHNOLOGY," which mandates new vehicles include "a system that … passively and accurately detect[s] whether the blood alcohol concentration of a driver of a motor vehicle is equal to or greater than the blood alcohol concentration" of .08, in which case the system would "prevent or limit motor vehicle operation." Automobile manufacturers would have a three-year grace period to comply with the regulation.

"Infrastructure" bill that does nothing for infratructure.
The correct term is "massive payoff bill for lobbyists who bought Congress using taxpayer dollars"

I tried to put them in all my trucks in Oklahoma a few years ago because those dumbasses kept getting fricked up and wrecking and the lawyers wouldn’t let me because of some privacy laws.

That’s what I’m talking about!
More stuff that you can’t do without permission. I’m happy that the government is allowing me to do the things i do

I'm really surprised this wasn't done 20 years ago.
This would not be good for me.

Good? Sorry you won't be able to drive drunk if you get a new car.

I'm pro drinking and driving. Not drunk driving. And furthermore, the limit for BAC should be .13 not .08.
I can drive fine up to .12

Ugh no. But do you want to blow in a breathalyzer every time you hop in your car? The answer is no.

If you people don’t get shots it’s gonna be a ventilator in every car.

Of course your bitch arse would be cheering on more government control.

The group recommends "driver monitoring systems, touch-based systems that can read your blood alcohol concentration through your fingertips and air-sampling systems that can test and isolate just the air exhaled by the driver."
MADD president Alex Otte praised Senate negotiators for using the infrastructure bill as a vehicle to pass the group's "most significant" legislative push in recent years.
May have to go ahead and pull the fuse on that particular sensor...

Honestly surprised it’s taken this long.

I'm barley swerving at .2. I think .25 would be more reasonable.
