I worked with a girl who had one in her car due to a DUI. She still drank and easily bypassed it by getting random, sober guys to blow in it for her.

That isn't a "whataboutism"

I'm saying a lot of people here actively support what you were asking

The 4th Amendment is just as clear as the 2nd Amendment but the pro police crowd loved to see it infringed in the name of “stopping crime” so how can anyone be surprised at this slippery slope.

This going to do wonders for the Used car market, hurt new cars sales, and kill local DUI revenue.

It is 100% a whataboutism. Or, it would be if you were deciding, anyway.

Fckk you drunk drivers.

I agree frick drunk drivers...But lets imagine you had a few drinks and Nymeria suddenly starts having a seizure. Also another piece of tech that will eventually fail and since its tied to your ignition, it will have to be fixed immediately.

I guess it depends. If your are court ordered. They install the intoxalock, which does rolling tests. Meaning it could be in five minutes, or 50 minutes and you have to blow.

It's so you can't just keep your car running and drink.

And some states make you get the camera so it takes a picture of you while blowing.

You know publicly the police will be vehemently in favor of this. Privately, the police union will lobby HARD against it.
