It's widely thought that the devastating ability of the world's military power is scary now, and that it could lead to horrific situations if shite hits the fan.
Could it not be argued that the lack of today's types of weapons back in the day could lead millions of men into a false sense of security and ultimately to their death?

I find it amusing that the leftists smear their opponents with "Nazi!!!". Hitler was a National Socialist. Hitler and Stalin had much more in common than differences. The Eastern Front was the largest turf war between mobsters in history.

The only thing worse today is the fact we have nuclear weapons. Other than that, WW2 was worse because chemical weapons today have largely been banned and so has napalm.
WW2 was a unique clash in that it happened at a time where wars were fought conventionally with the use of new modern technology and equipment. If a war ever breaks out again between super powers it will be worse though. The likelihood of that isn't high because of mutual assured destruction. Thus why we have proxy wars using people in shithole countries that we don't care about
