In my 40s, have driven through like 35 of the 50 states.
Never been to a 7/11 and I may have seen 2 or 3 in my lifetime.
Where is this greatest store?
I’ve seen kum and go before, plenty of wa-wa’s but the only 7/11 I remember was in NYC and it wasn’t a gas station.

There's one in my neighborhood that's been a U-Totem, 7-11, Stop n Go, generic corner store, and now a Valero. Must be 60 ish years old.

I saw a Diamond Shamrock the other day. I thought their Houston had all been rebranded. They’re apparently still around.

I don't know how you did it but holding a bottle with your foot is impressive.

I remember stopping at one in Baltimore hoping to use the bathroom. It didn’t have gas pumps or a bathroom. They said to walk across the street to this shady bar. It was like 11am

Pinball machine, a spinner-rack full of comic books, Icee/Slurpee machines, ten-cent chocolate bars, two-cent bubble gum, Wacky Packages and baseball cards. Used to be a kind of kid nirvana.

I remember when a 7-11 first brought in its first microwave oven. Never seen one before. Never even knew of their existence, as no one had them at home back then. My buddy and I bought and heated up a frozen pizza in that 7-11 microwave oven, and walked up to the levee to feast on it. We thought we were really living high.

Don't really care much for most 7-11's these days. A lot of them are dirty, dismal, and they just don't have all that 'fun' stuff anymore.

I grew up with 7/11 and it’s awful. The clerks have to be cooks, casino dealers (lottery) and check people out at the same time… and they’re usually slower than molasses. The hot dogs used to be much better too.

QuikTrip (especially), RaceTrac and others have a much better convenience model of self serve. QuikTrips are clean, fast and have much better food.

I've seen a 7/11 across the street from another 7/11. They are the best though in the motherland.

I saw a Circle K next door to a 7/11 in Hong Kong.
Asians have the convenience store model down.
