I wonder why an attempt at relocation was not tried. "Hundreds of Canada geese were caught and killed"

Yeah, I don't feel pity for the geese. Had a flock of those POS's in the green space outside of my apartment when I was stationed in PA. Mean and shite everywhere. People couldn't walk their dogs and they were a traffic hazard during migration seasons.

frick them geese, they're assholes and shite everywhere.

We chase them off of our property so that the ducks are able to use our feeders.

550 down about 550,000 to go.

I know nothing about the migratory bird act but all I know is those birds don’t migrate.

Hope somebody made a roux, but I doubt it. Them North AL baws probably don’t know anything about that process.

When I lived in Baton Rouge, we had a neighborhood pond behind my house and I had a dock in my back yard. When we first moved there I thought the geese were really neat. The male and female stay together forever and he is extremely protective of her and their young. They will also go out of their way to swim by you to show off their young.

However, after about a month you realize they are the dumbest animals in the world. They won’t get out of the road and will walk right in front of a slow or fast moving car and just stare at you. They don’t remember they can fly when something is about to hit or is chasing them. My biggest complaint is they would stand on my dock all night and crap all over it. They don’t even bother to move away from where they crap, they are content to just stand there in it. Every morning I had to hose off the dock or it would look like a giant litter box. If I went out of town for a weekend, I would return to a disgusting mess. A hurricane could hit and it wouldn’t be enough force to wash that stuff off. I would go out and spray the hose at the geese to run them off and they would just jump in the water, honk at me, and then jump right back on the dock. I hate geese now.

Our HOA just did this in Youngsville with about 30 ducks. We had about 60 or so ducks in our neighborhood pond and there wasn’t enough for them to eat. So they started wondering the neighborhood, shitting everywhere, getting run over.

Apparently LDWF doesn’t relocate. Or they didn’t try to. They sedated them somehow, then brought them elsewhere to be euthanized.

I agree with the HOA for once in my life.

Geese are disgusting and mean. They shite on everything and are a-hole birds.
