Where are Haitian refugees when you need them?
I'd rather deal with the geese.
And we did, used to live right on a lake in Madison AL and the geese were obnoxious as hell

They taste better then snow or blue geese .

Somewhere a Haitian is shedding a tear...

Canadian geese are straight up assholes. They take over the back yard at our lake house. They’re quite territorial. And they shite everywhere.

Euthanizing geese opine aside…
Would love to have listened in on some of those ultra crotchety residents and their HOA complaints.
Some of my all time fav entertainment is watching those water-tight sphincter people (that are in every HOA) interact with their world.
The more medicated the better the entertainment.

550 Canada geese euthanized
I hope there were only 550 there and that none escaped euthanasia.

Unfortunately, someone was feeding that population of geese. Residents of that area need to decide whether they want geese or not,,,,,

I'm all about animals, but geese are insane nuisances and the people that feed them are chodes. Like others have said, those things are crap and feather factories. They're also assholes who take over populated areas and don't even move when humans come close. They're a great example of a wild animal that's too close to domestication.

They kill 550 yet if I hit one that won't get out of the road, I'm the bad guy.

What do they taste like? Is it dark, gamey meat or more like turkey/chicken? Does it depend on where they live? I don’t like duck or dove meat, for reference.

Did they make a roux first?

Local butcher here makes sausage out of them for me.

Geese are all dark meat and tough as hell. As someone else says, you have to camoflauge it by putting it in a gumbo or making sausage. Honestly, they should have cleaned them for use in homeless shelter or prison, though.

Geese are edible.
Paul Prudhomme knew that with the chosen spices, any meat would be good. Look what he did for Red Fish.
If they were just killed and dumped in a land fill, shame on Alabama wildlife and fisheries.
If they force fed them and then took the fois gras and shared the meat, then all to the good.

How do you relocate a bird with wings capable of flying from Canada to the Gulf? The shite birds will just fly back lol.
