Does Senator Regina seem more outraged over not receiving timely notification of the death than the kid’s death? Almost like she is going into either CYA mode or looking for a way to blame whitey.
While I get it was a hearing on this and admit you can learn some things after a death to help do better and maybe save a kid in the future focusing on notification issue less urgent than stopping the neglect and death in the first place. She has a death right in front of her now to focus on more than the notification of the death. She did talk about the kid once, but the system failed the kid a lot more than it failed her as a Senator. She needs to spend less time digging into notification issue and go in that community and dig into the background of the pieces of shite who actually did this to the kid and who ignored it.
