Right or wrong, I fully support students doing something like this. If they’re right, they’ve potentially affected change. If they’re wrong, it’s a great learning experience.

yeah. here’s the problem tho….no one is going to tell them they are wrong.

About 300 students protested a school administration that organizers said had promoted “psychological trauma” among Black students

We should just go back to segregation. Sure, the white schools would lose some ball games, but it would be better for everyone.

Yes. You are. You are children. You are also not deserving of said respect you claim is lacking.

Superintendents of two of the most high achieving school districts in the Baton Rouge area are calling it a career and both are young enough to continue to work.
That tells you all you need to know about how hard managing schools has become.

Only equitable solution is to give black students their own school. Every other solution is littered in white supremacy.

I miss the days when being a soft, candy-arse victim was something to be ashamed of.

Now it's a badge of honor and the hope of a lawsuit check.

I grew up during desegregation, there two big moves, one during 7th grade and the other in11th grade, we used to beat the hell out of all of the black schools in every sport, never did understand that, they were sending guys to Gambling, Southern, NFL, NBA... didn't get it, must have been corching

It’s not “becoming” a shite home, it’s already there. Outside of the university and Northport, it’s awful.

Good. Academics have taught young black Americans that every slight, inconvenience, consequence, and inequity in their lives have been because of shadowy groups of white people. Let them get eaten by their own creation

I teach and one of my classes is almost entirely black. I recently gave an assignment and one of my students said, “But Mr.___, it’s black history month.” He said it as if he wanted to just chill that day. I said, “The best way to honor people who fought and sacrificed to give you opportunities they didn’t have is to be successful.

I don’t think he really wanted to hear that, though.
