Yep - a few $1-2m places where you can take advantage of all of the four seasons.
Maybe a "city" place for sports and concerts every now and again.

But almost $700m after taxes? frick that. I don't need to try to make more money at that point.
Exactly. Put it in the safest investments possible and you still earn $20 million a year forever.
I would not want anything that I had to work at or manage, unless it was something fun I enjoyed.

I’d buy the 50 acres and leave it all trees and not let any development happen at all

managing the people you'd have to hire to manage your $690M would be a fulltime job.

Sorry if German, but TAXES
That’s pretty much what Next Friday was about. OPEX on a luxury home out there is out of control.

This is what people with $600M buy: villas on Lake Como
I'll take one of those, plus a spot in the Greek islands. Add another lake spot in France/Switzerland, and a beach spot somewhere in the Caribbean. Home base in the states, bounce around between spots when you feel like it. Monaco for the race, Paris for lunch, etc., etc.

High-end LA real estate is a pretty good investment depending on the area.
If he’s just buying them for himself and family and friends to live in, he’s a moron. The taxes and upkeep alone will bankrupt him quickly.

Yeah ever now and again I think of where I'd buy places to live/stay.
Definitely a place in Jackson Hole or somewhere in CO in the mountains.
Definitely a place on the water with a private beach in the Caribbean, with a country with a legit airport (so not St Lucia).
I don't know where I'd like a place in Europe, exactly, but I'd want one, too. Probably somewhere in Asia, Malaysia or Singapore.

Because their beautiful ocean is too cold for sane people to swim in, the gun laws are retarded, the govt is retarded and half of the people are retarded.
Just get a house down south and another one further north.

I might have to buy a boat, park it in Miami like Sonny Crockett, and then cruise the Florida Keys and the Caribbean at my leisure.

Real estate is prob the best long term investment out there. Good for him.
What do you think the holding cost on a 47m mansion in LA would be a year?

1-1.5M per year I bet.
People in this thread think California = insane property taxes. It’s not.
Cali taxes the frick out of income, but property tax is way below average. The property tax bill on that place is probably less than 500k per year.

Having that much money would take a staff of attorneys, cpas, and then more attorneys and cpas to watch the attorneys and cpas that you hired.
It takes money to manage money.
