I'm not giving them a reason to not give me the money, and if you take the annuity, there's always some way to not get it all. Not worth the risk when i can invest the money the same as they can. Just give me all the money now.

Exactly… plus it depends on a persons age… I’d rather have
It all now and disperse while I’m still in my right mind.I’m 63 and while being in great health right now, you just never know when he is gonna come calling. As long as the charities I want to give to and my family is taken care of the way I want. I’m cool. But again, I’m not that lavish.

That would get old quickly. They'd all know that you're the one that won the lottery.

No one would ever treat you normally again. And you'd be come suspicious of everyone's motives, like what is their angle to get money out of you. A job would be more of a burden than anything else.

Your normal life where you can just blend in with everyone else is for all intents and purposes, over.

Until you are never at that property and it becomes the squatters’ property.

No way in hell I would buy an overpriced vehicle (imagine the insurance rates in La ) I wouldn't buy a huge mansion. I would rather have a few camps a place at the beach and just golf and fish the rest of my life.

Right that’s my point. It’s not like I’m saying go out and buy a Maybach or a Bughatti. But you’re going to go buy something nice, but likely Practical. A really nice truck, high end suv etc.

You’re not gonna keep driving a Honda Civic because you want to be thrifty.

You’re going to upgrade your house. Likely not going to stay in the same neighborhood either.

Hell I’d stay in the main city my kids are in school and buy a nice house there. If that’s BR, in a get a great house for 1-2 million.

No. You buy real estate, buy small businesses, and invest in start ups. 10X that money.

mainly bc i don't want neighbors and much larger lot. I probably wouldn't spend more than 3 mos a year at my primary home anyway.

But these thoughts and ideas about how people say they'd live if they won (modest living, low-key lifestyle) aren't congruent with someone that would even play the lottery in the first place. You can live that life without winning the lottery.

I think part of the lottery fantasy is wanting to be a big shot.

LOL. He paid cash for the properties and still has over $500 million left.

Like I said earlier, he can put his money in the safest investments around and still earn about $20 million a year FOREVER.

I can understand that. I have no desire to be a big shot..I’m sure a lot of people will end up finding out, but I’m not going to flaunt it.

Home owners insurance, property taxes, and HOA fees on multiple Southern California mansions?

Sign me up for investments that don’t have such stiff monthly expenses.

Either some hot-arse real estate agent is letting him hit it, or I watch too much PornHub.
