To be honest, when I first read the title I was thinking this was going to be a thread showing improvement

Not for everyone. I disagree. I don’t monitor my diet much but run at least 5 miles every day. I’m not overweight at all.

The percentage of the population considered overweight is something like 75%. It’s pretty sobering.

Agree, its not just about diet.

The only people who say that are lazy arse people.

shite, we have another advantage, especially those of us up in the mountains.

You simply dont eat as much at high elevation. My daily calorie count gets cut 10-20% by virtue of living at 9600'.

It’s 100% about diet. Exercise makes a small portion of what you can do. It’s a good supplement, but diet is by far the factor.

Bingo, you lose weight in the kitchen, and build muscle and endurance in the gym.

I generally run about 6 a day at a slow pace. That’s an hour a day. Anyone can do that. Without watching my diet at all, I can maintain a healthy BMI. With just a little monitoring, I can get it down even further than that. All my runs are outside.

We were impressed with the overall health and appearance of the people in Wyoming and Utah. Seemed everyone was outside doing something…..

Probably closer to 35-40% in Louisiana.

I assume the issue is high calorie drinks like coke. It’s not easy to consistently eat enough calories to get morbidly obese if you just stick to meats and vegetables.

You didn’t read the rest of my post.

“Unless you’re an athlete that trains at a high intensity…”

If you run at least 5 miles a day, that means you probably burn at least 500 calories a day (depending on your body weight and pace).

That’s a very high level of activity.

Most people that go to the gym, even with a trainer, don’t get that. Especially if they go and eat 4,000 calories the rest of the day.

lots of excuses as to why genpop is morbidly obese and getting worse but no reasons that are unavoidable

it doesn’t take much effort to not be fat, I am exhibit A for that. In fact I’d submit that it takes a conscious intent to get fat, as overeating requires an intent to do so.

I remember the day I was 5’10” 250, couldn’t look down and see my cock as well as getting winded from wiping my a-hole.

Never again

Now I maintain my bodyweight between 180-190

Fat people make me want to leave the south. You can’t go anywhere without seeing rolls on rolls of fat, male titties, and stomach in leggings. It’s disgusting
