So I was driving about 80mph i come to a stop and it died. I turn it back on and everything is fine in park and neutral. I can rev it all I want. I put it reverse and it acts funny and i was abled to drive it in reverse but it dies after i go like 40 yards. It dies instantly every time i put it in drive. Its a 4.6 Triton V8. I had the rear end replaced and IAC replaced a couple months ago.

Common issue. There’s a relay panel near the passenger side floor board. All you have to do is pop the cover, then go buy a Chevy.

Might be a transmission issue, possibly the Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) Solenoid.

Had a similar issue recently with my 2003. By the time I got the parts in to fix it, the damn thing just started running like normal again.

Get the codes run on it. If you get a P0740 or P0743, it's likely the TCC.

I'd check the idle sensor or the mass air flow sensor. It has to be some kind of sensor issue. Is it throwing up a code?
