That’s where I’d look.

The last time I had a truck that died, it was the throttle body. It was coated in a thick layer of carbon from the EGR.

Had a similar acting older buick, ended up being the fuel pressure regulator. Easy to check and fix as it was front and center of the engine on the fuel rail. Hope it helps. 12$ part, car wanted to die in Park, when I switched from reverse and had trouble starting. Also did worse when the ac was on.

Those should have been replaced about 4 times given the age (2001) of the vehicle
