Serious question….what is it specific to high school or college homecomings that make this culture want to go next level thug and kill even more people? LSU has especially seen this over the last two years on homecoming. It’s like they feel they are in a scenario like “The Purge” movies I guess.

serious answer:
1) their entire culture is based around respect/disrespect
2) their culture glorifies gangs/guns/violence
Add them up and it's quite simple. A large gathering of people that are dressed nice for the first time in their life are going to be more likely to feel disrespected by someone acidentally scuffing their shoe or spilling bbq sauce on a jacket or commenting on someone's girl, which in turn leads to gats being pulled.
These people lack the basic part of the brain that separates us from our simian adjacents that tells us "hey, it was just a mistake, no harm done bud!" so they instead need to resolve the disupte by killing the other party.
I don't see it changing any time soon.

You want to see the crime rate plummet in one generation and the world change? Make everyone receiving welfare payments make a choice: keep receiving the check and get your tubes tied/vasectomy, or forgo the check and have kids. You have no constitutional right to a welfare check or raising kids. The progressive Left loves to bleat about "Choice!". Well, here ya go.
There is absolutely no reason that the productive members of society should subsidize the criminal underclasses' production of more people that will grow up to prey on them.

The severity of the crime is increasing with decreasing age of the perpetrator. The punishment needs to identify the individual, increase the penalty and hold the parents accountable.
