And that 1 out of 7 should face the consequences for their poor work output. If their work output is fine, then I don't see the issue. You're paid for your deliverables or value that you add to the company, not your physical presence in an office.
Sorry that not everyone wants to move to the city, live in pod apartments, and eat zeh bugs because a bunch of boomers have sour grapes over the new ways of working.

It’s totally fine to knock one out in the bedroom and get back to work in the office? Good boss

Yea I switched my office staff of five to work from home way before CV. I think around 2017 and I have always told them I don't care when or how they work as long as their work is done.

I agree, if she is putting out then I don't have an issue either.

And everyone assured us Twitter would fail and Elon was an idiot for thinking he didnt need all those people.
Fast forward 3 months, and every major tech company is cutting their workforce.

If they're playing half the day, their workload isn't sufficient.

Easy to fix that...you can only work from home if you've been married for at least 10 years.

I’ve had many drinks on company time, but never at my house.

If salaried I 100% agree. If they are hourly or bill clients by hours, we’ll they aren’t working

I’m now working from home, other than meetings or travel. My wife comes home daily from 12:00 - 1:00 for lunch. What we do in the privacy of our home while we’re both on a lunch break is no one’s business

I have three kids because I worked from home for 6 years when my wife and I first got married.

“Logging 3 to 4 hours of actual work per day.”
Now do onsite employees.
I bet on-site employees in the same types of jobs are only logging 4-5 hours a day.

Meh. I’m remote three days a week. I typically have breaks between chunks of clients and do what I will because I’m not being paid for non-client hours. I meet more than my weekly required quota of client hours (will get to my full licensure faster a result).
Also allows me to see more clients on remote days because I’m not spending the time commuting. And allows me the freedom to do things like my own doctor’s appointments without really disrupting my work day.
Does WFH work for everyone? No. But if you’re in a job where you can and it does effect your productivity then it’s silly to not have that option.

I tried WFH around my wife who still does, and I wasn't impressed.
I will say if you can hike or fish while on the phone handling business, youre an efficient worker.
