Freezing temps damn near to Miami this weekend. The whole damn state of Florida is gonna have to wear hardhats for the iguanas that will be raining down by the thousands.

NEMEPA said that all of their substations are good to go so that should help.

Sure. The one in Belzoni is ok too, and they started today repairing broken poles about 100 yards from it. Every business on hwy 49 in Belzoni got power back today, but downtown and residential is still dark

I expect my farm to be out for 3-4 weeks. Gotta drag poles and power lines out of the road with my backhoe so I can get fish trucks in and load out. Got my fuel tanks at shop rigged to a Miller big 20 welder so I can put fuel in my trucks and tractors

If you were doing that job, you wouldn’t need/want to have a farm. Lol

Finally got out on my farm today.

The destruction reminds me of a good sized hurricane. It’s pretty bad in the Batesville area.
Our place has all sorts of huge trees layed over.
And every darn one is across my fence:-)

Is Batesville a major poultry producer? If so, how do they heat the growing areas with this damage?

I just want to be above freezing. It’s 15 here now (thankfully wind chill isn’t bad). We won’t get back above freezing until sometime next week.

Calling for 6" to 7" here in Ridgeway SC. We have zero plows unless you want to count riding lawnmowers.

At this point, I don't even care what the temperature is outside. I just want my power to come back on. I'm not knocking the guys doing the work. They're working as quickly as possible. I'm just starting to wear thin.

Yes and Raleigh is going to near a foot with a blizzard in the Outer banks (50+ mph winds possible with snow)

We're going to be closer to a Boston Nor-Easter than a usual southern snowstorm if it all pans out.

Wind chill Sunday Morning here in Cola will be near 0

My condolences.

Sucks on the coast as well. High of 38, low in the teens.
