The rest of the division each got 3.

None or only 1 primetime game is generally a prediction from the league office that they don't have a lot of faith in the team being good, and over the years it has been a really high indicator of what teams are going to be bad.

We got zero last year, of course.

7 Games: Los Angeles Rams
6 Games: Packers, Chiefs, Bills, Seahawks, Cowboys
5 Games: Eagles, Bears, Patriots, 49ers
4 Games: Vikings, Giants, Steelers, Ravens, Lions, Texans, Commanders
3 Games: Jaguars, Broncos, Bengals, Falcons, Panthers, Chargers, Buccaneers
2 Games: Colts
1 Game: Saints, Browns
0 Games: Jets, Cardinals, Titans, Dolphins, Raiders

They clearly put us in the category of some true dogshit teams

For the record...I think we definitely can be a playoff team and will be a really fun team to watch, and will likely get flexed into a primetime game later in the season

There has to be someone people want to watch. Saints have zero star power and can’t even sell out their own season tickets. 1 sounds about right

Didn't even notice they all got 3, and only 2 of them are inter-division (Atl @ Saints & Car @ TB).

What I did find interesting was Atl plays at GB on Thurs night in W3, then plays at NOLA on Mon night in W4, then hosts Balt Sun night in W5.

Also, while only 1 prime time game sucked, I was just glad we didn't get any Thurs night games.

Our only game available for flexing is W18 vs TB.

Atl has w16 vTB, and W18 @ Car
Car has @ Pitt w16, and Atl w 18
TB has w16 @ Atl, W17 vs LAR, and w18 @ NOLA

First you have to look at our opponents and if there is any history there they can push a story for in primetime, or a story about this QB vs that QB. Then you project how good our team and our opponents' teams will be.

When you look at everything, there is only 1 other potential game I think could have been primetime, and that is the Ravens game, setting up a story about 2 new-ish coaches to their teams, one with an up and coming QB and one with a vet and how that duel will play out.

Every other game I find is either a shite opponent, a team that has no qb, both of those things, or just a division game, minus the Lions, but week 1 primetime they literally hand pick some of the biggest stories, so no way we were getting a week 1 game.

You could squint and maybe put the Bears game in there, but they already have 5 which seems a lot for them. If the Bengals was a home game you could do a Burrow "homecoming" storyline.

But 10 of our games are against teams with 3 or fewer primetime games. 15 are 4 or fewer. We just don't play those top teams everyone wants to see this year, and we still have to prove we are good before we get back to being a must see team ourselves. Being mediocre isn't good enough, and that's what we are being projected as (though I disagree).

I thought we’d get 2-3 with the way Shough played down the stretch. League apparently is not buying the hype.

NYG got four based on concussed Dart

We should've gotten at least 2

This is the answer. The saints are projected to be an average team playing a projected bad schedule. Shough doesn’t have enough star power at this point to push the saints into must see TV.

This could change significantly next year.

Giants got four because of their division and market. No one cares about Dart outside of their fan base.

Its okay. When we DO win the division and we DO have our playoff game at home, they'll be FORCED to watch us in January.

There's a couple of things we can do...

1. Don't cry about it
2. Buckle the chin straps up tightly
3. Punch everybody in the damn mouth

Let everyone doubt us...just win and we won't have this problem.

Its purely a viewership numbers game man. The Cowboys and Giants wouldn't get 5-6 primetime games every single year if being good was a factor.

when you look at season win totals for this division there's not a lot of separation between the teams.

so Vegas thinks we're all just about even.

The way we played the last few years, we deserve to be grouped with that bunch of raggamuffins. Just win baby, then things will turnaround.
