I think this is a year where home team optimism and national perception are far apart on the saints.

We all saw Shough and think we have a great QB.

The national fan base largely doesn’t know who Shough is and see a 6 win team without much offensive firepower.

National fan base knows Carolina won the division and then gave the Rams a real run for their money in the playoffs. But I'll bet quite a few aren't aware the Saints swept the Panthers.

Yes, obviously. I was responding to a post angrily claiming it was about W-L record.

I like watching the Saints at noon on Sunday so I’m fine with it.

I actually don't mind most of our games being the noon game.

One , you don't have to wait all day for the game to start,

Two, up here in North Louisiana you don't have to compete with the damn Cowgirls on TV as much

Besides we know how the NFL is, they're going to play the big city teams or the teams that have that special player on Prime Time as much as possible. It's all about ratings.

Look at the Rams, ever since they went back to LA , Goodell has had a hard on , to showcase them.

The Paris game should be considered prime time since it’s the only game at that time.

The NFL always lags on predicting which teams will be fun to watch. That means good and fun teams are buried at noon and some washed up teams get prime time. Every season.

I think the Saints were given that schedule on purpose. 2 thought games to start the season and then 7 easier games. If we somehow end up 5-2/ 6-3 then it gives room to flex tougher opponents and better games late in the season.
