I feel like we keep getting everything poached from us in louisiana? Saban. Joe Brady. And now possibly Kubiak. Look at the Saints history. We have only been a successful team under a young offensive mind. When I say successful I mean more than one playoff appearance. No knock on the Dome Patrol but they didn't have a offense like what we have now.

The amount of insecure posts about kubiak on this board after 2 games is simply incredible.

Not insecure. I know it is only two games but look at saints history. Only have been highly successful under a young, bright offensive coordinator. Hate to lose him and go back to shite

Mickey needs to give him a contract that will guarantee him being the next head coach

Patriots did this with Jerrod Mayo

The only young bright Saints offensive coordinator you list is Kubiak.

Saban was defensive guy before being a head coach and not for the Saints and Brady was not an offensive coordinator for anyone in Louisiana.

I don't give love to a coach until he has proven to me that he can frick things up periodically

Just wait for the inevitable few subpar games that happens to just about everyone and watch the Pendulum swing back

Dennis Allen is 51. He obviously wouldn’t go for this.

Bill was in his 70s when they did this.

I have heard that Kubiak is kind of a stiff. He may not be a guy that makes it through a head coach interview process.

The odds are Kubiak won't be going anywhere after this season.

OC's like Ben Johnson and Bobby Slowik were "gone" according to everyone and teams didn't hire them for whatever the reasons.

I think a lot of these franchises don't want to roll the dice on young, inexperienced head coaches, and some of these guys need more years in a prominent role before getting a HC job.

He also either signed off on it, or was the proponent of this succession plan.

Dennis Allen will do neither.

It's also silly considering guys in the McVay/Kyle Shanahan coaching tree respawn every year and we can just get another one from SF or LAR

There is nothing special about Kubiak or the offense he brought over. It's basically the offense about half the league is running now.

I don't know what "special" means to you or anyone concerning a OC or new offense. Could mean anything. But after two record breaking games and a qb, rb and wr leading the league in several categories and a 2-0 record the results speak for themselves. If you still like the results around mid season offer him a 2 year extension as the highest paid OC. Not much else you can do. Letting him go cause he's not really special would be retarded in the extreme.

Start Losing?

There is no scenario where we keep playing like we are currently playing and keep as OC past this season. Maybe we get a second season if we are lucky.
