Ehhh maybe. Really depends on Shough. If he’s more or less the same as last year, I’d say 8-9 wins.

If he’s improved or improves during the season, 10-11 is possible. Think it also depends on the health of the team. If we actually get lucky with our roster staying healthy this year, that will go a loooong way

It certainly has a 2006 feel to it. New names everywhere, competition at every position except qb, while our starter is an actual legit quarterback. Competent coach and coordinators. I might be delusional but think 11 is the floor.

So it has a 2006 feel to it where we won 10 games with a hall of fame qb but 11 is the floor with this group?

I wish winning in the NFL was as easy as you think it is.

If our offensive line is top five in the NFC, then yes.

2006 feel where we way outperform expectations. We were widely considered the worst team in the league by a mile post-Katrina. No one knew who Payton was. Brees was no sure thing, hell he couldn’t throw a forward pass in February 2006 and Saban/Miami had just passed on him. Go to NFC championship. 10 wins that year yes, but a 16 game season then. 11 is not unreasonable. One of the easiest schedules in the league as well.

I'll take an out-of-nowhere NFC Championship appearance at this point.

I might as well go get drunk tonight reading that post and then not recalling it forever.

So here I go

If Shough doesn't flop in his 2nd year, and with the additions in the offseason, I can see picking up 11 wins like this.

4-2 or 5-1 in division

Optimistic about the outcome:
Home: Vikings, Clev, Pitt, AZ & LV
Away: NYG

What point of the season will we play @ Balt & Cincy, and will the respective QBs be healthy at this point?

GB, Chi, Det will be the measuring stick of who this team is.

Saying 11 is the floor, as someone did in this thread, is a bit delusional as the team/Moore/Shough still need to prove who they are. But 10+ is not out of the realm of possibilities

Completely agree. >11 or <7 I think are the big outliers barring injuries. But I can see anywhere from 7-10 pretty easily.

Easier than I thought
It's hard to judge how different an NFL team will be year over year, but if we're looking at how these teams were in 2025, this is a pretty easy schedule all things considered.

Ravens/Lions/Packers/Bears/Ravens/Steelers are tougher games, but we don't play any of the best 5-7 teams from 2025. Can't be mad at that.

You feel good about Chicago on the road? We would probably be a 7 point dog in that game right now.

Minnesota and Pittsburg at home are at best tossups.

Cincinnati and the Giants on the road are at best tossups.

Expecting 3-3 in division seems reasonable.

11 wins would be a miracle, IMO. If we win 8 this team is probably a significantly better team than it was last year.
