Hiring retreads ,Fontenot, are you kidding me,Saint fans who think like that are as bad as ownership. If Mickey moves on,fingers crossed,Gayle better have a fire sale and CLEAN HOUSE.Hiring MLs lackies is just like keeping him,it’s like putting LIPSTICK ON A PIG.Fans need to keep harassing Gayle through email, twitter tik tok what ever because that’s the only reason she came out and said something 2 weeks ago.She love being the Queen and hates criticism.

I think Loomis is actually going to get fired after the season. Even Gayle called him out by name after the 1-4 start. Sounds like change is definitely coming. That’s the good news. Bad news is the Saints are cooked this year.

Hard pass on Terry Fontenot. If we are getting rid of Loomis I do not want any ties to him.

Wouldn’t be my choice, but he’s been mentioned.

My biggest fear is that Loomis “steps back” into an advisory role and someone internal like Ireland or Khai Harley gets promoted and nothing changes.

We need new blood! And somebody who knows how to draft. We have got to get better at drafting. We have no talent and our terrible terrible terrible picks have become a major problem.

I think that everything you've laid out here justifies it.

I've gotten tired of talking about this guy over and over again that's why I haven't really commented a lot on him lately.

but I mean what he's been holding this title for about 24 years I mean sometimes it's just time to move on because you've been somewhere for so long you know

but there's plenty of evidence to past handful of years that there needs to be a change

Riddick was high on Shough from Day 1. He obviously saw something. He'd be way better than Loomis at least.

Maybe we can fire Loomis and conduct another amazing search like the Pelicans. Does Dumars have a brother that can run the saints?

OK, hear me out...

Let Dumars/Mosley run the Saints, and let Loomis/Moore run the Pels. Make Weaver the President of both franchises so that he can force BOTH teams to only draft/trade for players from the DMV area. It would be the kind of major shakeup that would get fans of both franchises really psyched up!

Requested a sticky. I’m done with the current version of the saints.

When DA was hired and then fired and when DA was proclaimed as a future HOF coach, Loomis needed to be fired or moved up into a non decision position in the organization.

Never going to happen. He is too ingrained with Gayle. As long as Gayle is alive he’ll have a job.

Never gonna happen! Just have to wait til Gayle is dead, then he and Lauscha sell the team and the new owner cleans house. 10-15 years is my guess til that happens.

and Lauscha sell the team

I think it's probably going to have to be the NFL that sells the team. Loomis and Lauscha can't own the team unless Gayle is leaving them EVERYTHING. The NFL isn't going to allow them to become the owners, they don't have enough net worth to own an NFL franchise.

If we were to hire Cody Rager would he bring SP back here & give him some GM control? Something Loomis refused to do .

Does Gayle know how to hire a good GM? Look at what she hired as Pelicans GM.

Ruiz and Davenport were the 1st round picks in ‘19 & ‘20. Three top picks aren’t even on the team anymore (Turner, Davenport & Penning), three are injured (Banks, Breese & Tyson), one is bad (Fuaga) and one is terrible (Ruiz).

Only one 1st rounder, Olave, is a contributor.

This is an extremely solid argument, my friend. May your thread be filled with upvotes.
